The only GeForce GFX Card you should really get if your serious about gaming is the GTX, the GT and GS are pants.

However the GTXs are more expensive, so if you can't afford them, then go with the GT if you really must, but stay away from the GS

Don't have any opinion on the Radeons as i've never used them before

I currently use the GeForce GTX 260, which i got for £99 something or other lol (However i ordered this along with a ton of other parts when i built my PC, so i got quite a bit of discount), but i'm sure you shouldn't have any trouble finding it close to that price, but i could be wrong :P

Anyway, i haven't had any problems with it since i've had it, and every game i play can be run in full graphics without any sort of lag (e.g. Warhammer and Aion Online i can run full graphics in all sorts of situations, i.e. mass loads of people, mobs etc)

most important question is what resolution is your monitor set at? If you game at anything less than 1400 then basically any card around 80 odd bucks will be fine. It's only when you game at the higher resolutions that you start needing faster cards. So my question is what size is your monitor? If it's smaller than 22" then anything between 70-100 quid will probably be overkill anyway.

1280 x 1024 and its only 19"

Well if the max is 1280, check out toms hardware or some other comparison site, although at this resolution most modern cards will achieve great framerates with all the eyecandy turned on. The time you need more grunt is when you play at higher res on bigger monitors, save your cash and just buy what suits your pocket. At this res basically any card 80 odd quid will perform within 5-10 frames a second of a 250 quid card, ie the diference will not be noticeable. Radeon 4870 seem to be best bang for buck at this the 100 pound odd price point, again though, at the res you'll be using at, serious overkill!! Good luck with your choice.
