If anyone of you have read the news of the world today, you probaby, should ov' saw the front page where it says about birmingham city being taken over by the 5th richest man in the world, do you think this'll happen? i mean why birmingham out of all the good clubs, arsnal, manu, chelsea, what do you think'll happen?

It depends on the status of the current clubs, he wouldn't get anywhere near Man U because they've only recently been bought by that American company, Abramovich wont sell any part of chelski, and same probably goes for th other clubs.

If they want to take over they need to get the majority of the shares, and after a threshold (I think its around 65-70%) they are required to make an offer for the remaining shares as well, although the owners done have to sell them. you need 51% for a commanding share, although most will aim for more than that to maximise control and return on their investment.

Birmingham were probably the bsest choice, where the guy can command a lot of influence and get fans and the team onside quickly with some cash throwing.

Abramovich M8 was trying to buy Blackburn Rovers but as it is has public share holders the chair man told him were to shove lol and rightly so as that sort of money spoils the game no need for it.
as for buying out birmingham he will most like get told were to go as like Rovers it has got more public share holders than privet 1s

With the new premiership money the least a club can b worth is £50 Mill, and blues are being brought for £70 Mill, that makes u worth £20 Million lol. I still dont think you will be able to attract much good players, there are a lot of rich teams in the Premiership now that can compete with you for money and have better squads, managers and history... Chelsea, Man u, Liverpool, Tottenham, Villa, West Ham, Newcastle.

He's bidding for Blues because u are available, the gold brothers and the porn man have all said they want to sell the club, can hardly blame them can you

I think the deal could well go through. The potential buyer is Lakshmi Mittal and he's more than twice as rich as Abramovich.

To think we could be seeing Birmingham near the top of the premiership in a few years which is just crazy.

I wouldnt be so sure that it will go through, we (villa) had so many other ppl that tryed/wanted to buy the club before Randy Learner brought us, some dubains, the ppl that brough Liverpool, Ray Ranson etc.

Yea but Chelsea already had good players and were in the Champions league, imo if this takeover does happen it will take u 2-3 years to catch up with our current team and by then we will be alot better, as we also have a billionaire chairman

As for Roman lol erm correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that money can buy good players but can't buy trophies. The winners of the premiership this year was Man Utd therefore Roman's money didn't really account to much...

You might get a little better with the money coming in but tbh there's a few disadvantages to becoming rich from an "outsider"

Fans: sometimes they think that it is no longer their team as new people have stepped in and they lose loyalty.

Players: you might have the money to buy the players but without a good past and current history they won't sign up. Also there's the fact no matter if you've got the top 11 people in your squad it don't mean they can play well as a team...

Yes, your right there, but when i said we'll get better, i didnt mean better than Man u and Chelsea and the others i meant we'll get some better players and our performance will start improving hopefully, yea it'll take some time but i reckon we'll get there, but hey he hasnt even brought the club yet so :P
