Black Screen After Char Select

I get the same problem, i've tried the stuff mentioned here and none of it work. I'm using Mir 1.4 and the server files are fresh from Ferney's website. I have looked over the guide and done everything about 3 times over and i still get the problem. Any idea's?

rofl i think ur probem lies next to ur clock....its called a firewall, same happens with my server when i load it up i cant get the message to come up that says like gms r such and such etc etc anyways i disabled my firewall and it worked fine, id also made sure the firewall allowed all server files and mir client.......damned norton 2k4

Mate that is a bad idea, because when you disable your firewall, your left vunerable to DoS attacks
