It does seem a lot like Omagh, the early bombs, as horrible as they are, have been relatively small scale. It just doesn't feel like it's over yet.

As for G8, the talks are still going on today and if it is to do with G8 then the likelihood is that they wanted to disrupt it, what better way, aside from bombing Gleneagles, than to bomb the capital city?

Aparrently Al-Qaeda have admitted responsibility saying that Italy and Denmark are next, they're saying it's a warning telling them to take their soldiers out of Iraq.

the whole plan was probably to nail the train carrages, which then forced the people into the town, and thats where they would detonate the bombs, probably hoping to wipe out a hell of alot more people.

Just doesnt seem real does it?

nope, it doesnt feel like its over to me either, i just hope other LOMCN users in other capital cities are safe and arent too worried about there safety, but i wish everyone could take care of themselves and there families during this time, my sympathy is with anyone who is affected
there could of been a hell of a lot more fatalities

thats exactly what i was just thinking floydd

all emergency services are down london helping all security concentrated there would leave G8 very vulnerable and i believe that may be the case (only a theory tho)

Seeing as though the emergency services have been bought up I'd like to take a moment to say what a fantastic job they're doing. They've handled the situation extremely well.

I was 10 minutes away from the explosion. We had a school trip to the careers museum then bus driver got a phone call to turn the bus around.

I know there's more deaths than what they say (33) as my mates dad was driving the one that blew up at Kings Cross but swapped at the station before it blew up. He said there was 100s of people dead :S.

IManaged to get hold of my mum who told me my dad who works in london and gets tube there is alright which is pretty fortunate but just goes to show how sick some people in this world really are. I found this pretty frightening myself and I'm sure alot of other people did too many many rumours going around my school most probably bull****. I'm gonna watch the news for a bit later :P See if I can get a better understanding - Managed to get the radio off my teacher for french lesson and just sat listening to that :P

:(

Also some things I heard on the radio were eye witness accounts about a woman that was watching the station and casulties with torn off limbs were being carried out and also there was a boy on work experience who managed to crawl out one of the carriages whilst people were screaming in pain and managed to get to the little train men things :P Just glad I didn't go into London today....

Its absolutely dispicable to think we can be attacked just like that, people living their everyday lifes did not have a chance. It makes me feel physicaly sick.

Im rather nervous about flying on sunday now (Cyprus).

I'm dreding when Tony gots back to London, I hope nothing happens.
And having the most powerful world leaders under one roof in a time like this dose not seem very logical... but we can not let them win!

The muslim leader is more concerned about whether the people will blame iton the muslim community than the actually attack, well thats how it reads.
I'm quite sure that's not the case and the reason it will come across as such is because that is the focus of the article. It's quite acceptable for someone to be thinking like that if you take into consideration how a lot of people felt towards particular ethnic groups after 9/11.

Its a fair statement Stonehelm, Although they are muslims etc, they are British Muslims, the same kind of people who could have been cuaght up in these attacks.

The real people we have to worry about are tossers like that guy who incites racial hatred (muslim guy) and his best mate Ken Livingstone who likes having the psycho cleric on london.

Personally i think Ken Livingstone is a traitor, not beucase the cleric is muslim, but becuase he's purposely inciting racial hatred and Ken Livingstone (mayor of london) doesnt seem to give 2 ****s.

I take it you're talking about Abu Hamza? If so, he [Abu] is a British citizen, there's not alot they can do about him except lock him up for disturbing the peace when he's speaking (which has happened more than once, I believe).

There were suspect packages in Swindon and Brighton, in Brighton there was a controlled explosion. I can't find any sources to back this up though.
