i don't like how predictable the current boss spawn system is, within 20-30min pretty much most boss's in game are dead, then you have to wait another 3hrs for a hunt (else your looking at a fairly pointless run), i prefer the respawn timer start after boss is dead system, at least there is a reason to go somewhere to see if boss is alive or dead, and not knowing when it will spawn.

the current system favors big guilds, the small guys rarely get a shot. plus its half the fun trying to keep track of spawns.

Pretty sure euro was every 2-3hours? A random spawn system would be good tho but it won't stop them being camped.

i always figured the respawn time went from the time the boss was killed and not from the time the server was rebooted, but maybe im mistaken it has been a long time since i played euro and may have confused it with countless p servers iv played.

even a spawn system where a boss could spawn within 2-4 hours so noone would know for sure, would be fairly interesting.

I agree i never liked the boss spawn system on here but also what your suggesting is also a bad idea, if one group kills that boss then they know exactly when it respawns when no one eles dose. At the moment it's fair due to everyone knowing when they spawn.

But yeh both kinder sucks, would be good to have it completely random within a 2-4 hours spawn time.

It works on here as it did on Euro, hence why you'd sometimes get double respawn (If no one had killed ZT in 3 hours, you killed it 5min before it was due again, it would spawn again in 5min). And you'd always have loads of guilds turn up, some would be decent people and let you kill if you was there first, others would just fight you for it.

It does suck to be fair, but that's how it is and always has been.
Not sure what the best way of doing it would be, having it the way you say only makes certain people know the time certain boss would be due when others don't. I can't pvp for ****, so any fight for bosses i'm pretty much out lol.

I agree that its an issue with bosses being so damn predictable, point in fact i personaly killed Khazard 12 times in a row as i was leveling on his spawn floor and got his spawn timer down to with in 1/2 mins most days, good for me but really i should not be able to do that. I'd back the idea of spawning timer triggering after death alittle more (only a little) as it would make people stay and wait for a spawn, want to kill DD and he's not there? well its a 2hour spawn time so wait around for the next spawn to pop with your guild to leran the time or just give up, only reason i support this idea really is due to it bring the players on the server together a bit more in a good way.... or bad depending :worried:

IMO It should definitely be a random spawn time between 2-4 hours instead of an exact 3 hours(if that's what it was before) so its less predictable. Having an exact time from time of death makes it easier for 1 group/guild to keep on top of the boss, so, prolly wouldn't be much different to current state. A combination of the 2 ideas perhaps would be better, then it would also make it so you don't get double spawns.

Just because it kinda worked on a full scale server 10 years ago doesn't make it a good idea now.
