ok getting peee why do you let cashcow afk botting you cannt tell me there not !!!!!!!!!!
last night my warrior was lurrr in fleas cashcow rt (or teleported) next to me lightning attack then rt again i had 50+ rt i talk to them nothing so i went after them rt around still nothing i then went on tao rt after them i then started pois there mobs before they could attack nothing!!!!! this morning doing it again i world shouted you was not on but i then had loads pms saying kill them as everone know they are botting!!!!!!!!!!
BUT got to say just come home from work to look at them there in fleas agin but! some one is playing them this time but sorry where not aloud to afk out side sz now but can i say i do go to work with my miner afk and 80% time i get dc from sever!!!!!! 4 mill few skills level to me thats a bot?????????????

Jamie is aware of the botting thats going on and is monitoring it, can't just start banning people unless they have proof.

Hopefully he will ban multiple people at the same time and trace where all of the money has been going and strip those who have bought gold of all their items and give them a ban for supporting it.

Every report I get, I look into them, They've always replied in some form... If they reply I can't take action because they are there.

Sure Jamie is smart enough to not just message them with 'hey' or 'you there' or some generic bullshit that would be easy to counter with botting.

Like to think he's popping up going 'quick, whats 2+2!?' or 'I'm the ban-hammer wielding goblin. You have 20 seconds to say my name backwards to send me away!'

I was messing, ive heard of some of the method's Jame has used and it has been effective ( Taking that warrior defiance away mid lure ) so he had to re-cast or get smashed.. I'm just trolling dont worry about me.

I've been watching / recording a fair few people who have been accused of being bots, or who act weirdly.

I would hypothesise that while they may well be botting its not a case of AFK botting overnight to make some extra gold. Rather a dedicated business doing it to farm gold to sell. So you would have someone sat monitoring several machines at once, the bot program is still in play doing all of the work but you have a physical presence. This makes it very difficult to confront as, as soon as you challenge their behaviour the monitor watching the screens notices and will reply. Instead a better way to monitor it may be to have the server produce a report on a regular basis showing top 20-30 gold earners via drops every hour. If someone is repeatedly flagged up, they could then be investigated obviously you would expect some high levels to flag and thats fine the reports an initial part of the process not the ban hammer.
Generally speaking if someone has earned (and I'm pulling figures out of my arse here) 150,000,000 gold and has nothing to show for it and no money on their account I would deem it very suspicious. Tracing where the gold has gone on the other hand, thats going to prove time consuming and difficult.

I'd love for this to happen but sadly it never will, that and dedicated levelling multis to be banned, named and shamed!

Bumporzzzzz any update on this? CashCow is in Ants 24/7, it's even got to the point where people are making jokes about it over global.

Seems the number of gold selling / cash farming bots increases but no direct action has been taken?


The only positive for this is the server must be doing ok, don't get gold sellers in games if they can't make a quick buck.

cashcow is actually a Chinese bot, the char is in ants all hours of the day.

the same guy who 'helped' the Chinese buy red horses.

The problem is the character has someone semi-afk while it’s botting or possibly someone there but they don’t react, a couple of nights ago Geralt killed them, they warped to town cast spells a few times and then ringed to a second character at the door back down to Ants (Sub Floor) and continued to hunt.

Been watching him while at ants, he seems to walk around and react like a real player. He has even hit me a few times with his aoe. Dont think hes a bot, just a multi thats farming gold 24/7.
