There is still a manual process in double checking them and banning them, but the system appears to be working. I think these guys think I will one day give up and just let them ruin the server... Lol...

What Sam says, it is still a manually process to ban the accounts.
I managed to get a couple of ban ones last week (the ammont of please unban me messages I got gave me a feeling we got the main gold stores)
The thing is they always come back and then get banned again so the battle keeps going on.

Do bots get three warnings or instant ban as iv sent you info on someone using a bot but they still playing?

Should be instant ban, but only if I can prove they are botting, so it really is a point in time thing (ie you report, and when I check their not botting, then I won't ban, however they go on a list that we check every now and again).

Caught LonelyMoon (I think that was her name, female sin) botting in st. She was just standing in place attacking for about 10minutes and would kill anything that came near her. Watched her for a bit to give her a chance, as she couldve been lagging badly. As Id walk into her attack distance she would stop auto attacking then when id walk back out she would auto attack again. (Attacking thin air, until a mob walked to her that is) Gave a few happy faces to her, no response, no hi or nothing. Then finally she moved from her spot and gave a "=D" and took off playing normally.
I wouldve walked right past if it wasnt for the fact that she hadnt moved and that she was auto attacking nonstop in place lol
Even though this post proves nothing, give us all something new to lookout for.

this is they same person I reported she also auto follows players who get too close and attacks anything near them like a pet would
I looked into that ones reported in ST but when I went looking she was attacking like normal and even said hi to players that run past her.
I did not ban because apart from the reports I had no proof she was botting.

Problem is I can upload a video of her doing it but unless you can see it in the logs it won't prove anything. So how are we meant to gain the proof you need?
here is a video but as i said the way her bot works its hard to tell she is actually botting without being there and seeing for yourself

But if they can program it to stop attacking thin air when someone comes within range surely they can program it to say "hi" whenever someone comes into range as well?

Yeah ive seen this one botting too, female sin in dragondynasty.
Was in BC when i saw her. No torch just walking in loops of one particular area killing. Killed her no response as expected. Just sat there dead.
Its a poor bot but everyone starts off poor im sure itll get more sophisticated as the user develops their language skills.
u quick to ban boters but how about banning ppl who cheat and they shouldnt b allowed bk on game aka swampduck
If you find someone botting you should ban them and ban all characters related to them ie. logging on same computer etc. would stop them doing it and would cause murder within the group that uses the computer. So would therefore help you stop botters :P
