bringing server on line

im having a bit of trouble putting server up not sure why but im running

zone alarm
avg
xp pro
2x 160gig hdd in raid0 array
p4 3.4
2 gig ddr 400
asus pro 256mg ddr g card
ntl cable modem up graded to 1.5 mbs

and i cant log on from mates comp with the ip add i have from bringing up c:/prompt n typing ipconfig any ideas would be helpful ???

firewall... i had my firewall up and it stopped a m8 logging on to my server to test with me. turned it off and everything was fine

is there a firewall i can still use or should i just use protect the server from attacks like it says in the sticky section ??

dunno what firewall u can still use :S if u cant get hold of one tho then u might have to follow the guide on the sticky. did turning off ur firewall solve the problem m8?

if you still cant logon 2moz
and it ant your firewall have you done all the ips ?

IP`s are correct so is server name he`s made account but doors dont open and im just looking through rest of posts for some hints

read crystals guide and set up the firewall like she did the router, and the ip's the same as she does, that should work

works perfect from a networked pc but im not using a hardware firewall so for the time being i have disabled fire completely to try n get it working
