Building a laptop

i wanna build my missus a laptop, i can build computers fine, but i cant seem to find ANY sites out there that sell laptop components (as obviously there different to PC components) Or laptop cases ect.

Anyone have any info on how i would go about this?

lol yeah i thought that, but you could always break the mould, jsut build a supersmall desktop with a portable car battery to power it and you will be hense knwoing as a genius

You won't be able to build one from scratch, not easily anyway. You can only customize pre-made ones, by, for example, upgrading ram or the HDD.

May as well just buy a notebook for like £100/£150 if moneys the issue.

I build gaming PC's and sell them on, wanted to to do laptops aswell, guess its not possible unless ur like Dell or something then, as my seller atm doesnt sell laptop components ¬_¬.

Then just gather the components to fit your 'Barebone' laptop


EDIT: To put your mind at rest, building the case, screen etc is far fetched...Hence why websites allow you to buy a Barebone system, allowing you to choose your components (same theory as making a pc ...You buy the case, you dont make it).
