Well, i just built my own PC recently. So i'll see if i can help.

Firstly, change that graphics card. I know the pc world component centre did my ATI 9600 256mb for £70. And AFAIK, the 9600 owns the FX5750.

Also, change the harddisk. Once again, the component centre offer the same amount of space, except in a SATA (basically, a LOT faster) for around the same price.

Now, are you entirely sure you MUST have that case & PSU? Seriously dude, my PC runs fine on a QTEC £20 350W case. Which included the PSU.

TBH, check the PC world component centre (if you're in the UK, of course.). I ordered my stuff from them. Was cheap too, like £400 (but of course, i chose a sempr0n 3100+ ;p). It sounds to me like you're paying over-the-odds in some areas where you needn't.

yea i went a bit overboard on the case and fancie psu, also i cud pay a lil less if i hadent bought the 64 bit bundle but i aint to sure which motherboards are compatable so the easest way was that, yea i forgot about Sata but does that also offer 8 MB of Cache?

The speeds that SATA drives have are only really noticable in games but yes, if you're going to spend that much on a HDD you may aswel get a SATA drive (the Seagate Barracuda 80gb SATA drive costs nearly the same give or take a couple of quid). I'd also spend an extra £25 and get a Plextor PX-712A Optical drive. Great quality and it does everything your currently listed drives do AND has 12x DVD±R/RW capability, well worth it IMO.

As Auron said, the Radeon 9600 pisses all over the GeForce FX5750 (the entire GeForce FX line are pretty pants tbh). Better yet, go for the 9700 Pro, great card and very affordable.

The cpu sucks unless your going to oc with a nice cooler, the ram is ok but i would go for the ballistix 3200, as it will oc to ddr500 with extremely tight timnings, i have that same mobo, and suffice to say it beats the **** out of anything and in oc'ing it's undisputed king. You will have to change the vc becus PCI express for AMD64 isnt out yet, ull have to w8 for the nforce4 chipsets, and ye that VC sucks, for the same price you can get a 9800pro 128mb that will kill it.

EDIT

oh ye, i would sata since its like the same price practically, and that PSU sucks, get an antec/superflower/OCZ/thermaltake power supply and a new cooler becus stock retail cooler aint that great for a big oc
