I'm an AMD man myself so I can't comment on the Processors, the first one is quicker.

First has a better graphics card but second has a better webcam and is lighter...

It's upto you really, if they both do what you want/need, pick the cheapest?

Ill suggest one thing to you when it comes to buying laptops.

Spend a little bit more money and Order one from Dell.

There customer service is exceptional and any slight problem (Like a damaged key on keyboard) Or if it starts to overheat. THey will rectify. There very helpful and are always very willing to help you..

Im using a Dell XPS M1530 atm. 2.5ghz Core2Duo, 4gb Ram, 512mb Geforce 8600M.

Ive got nothing but good things to say about there customer service. We have 4 Dell Laptops in the house. Ive had a HDD Go on one, a Keyboard replaced on another and a heatsink on the 3rd.

None of them NEEDED to be changed apart from the harddrive. They dont quabble when you ask for something they just do it. And the turn around is a guy comes ot your house does it for you a couple days after you rang them.

I like dells customer support. Its a lot better than the likes of Acer and HP which i had nothing but problems with.

cant comment on acer or hp service really, but with working at currys for 7 years and since the first time we started selling dell i never wanted to sell a customer a dell after having to go through their customer service everytime a customer needed a laptop repaired.

having a male receptionist, who hardly understands english, and whos only job is to ask you for your dell service tag then pass you through to the main support, who then ask you for the tag again, who again dont understand english, and cant grasp the fact you know how to test out a pc and insists on following a script on how to test the laptop, then repeatably having to confirm your address because they cant understand you. i hate dell.

yes they are efficient, they come out quickly, and fix most problems for you, but by god the process of going through it all took me litterely hours everytime.

any way, end rant :P i still say you can get much better spec laptop for the same price as dells.

Thanks for your feedback guys, much appreciated.

I also prefer the first one than the second one simply because it has better specs. However, it doesn't have windows 7 so I searched online for a updated version and instead of the acer 7735g I found the new acer model, 7736g and i'm still deciding weather to buy it. It's from currys and i'm either buying it from the store that's if they have it in my local area or ordering it online.

May i suggest not buying from a Currys?

Perhaps going somewhere else like ebuyer.co.uk or Overclockers.co.uk

There both cheaper and you will probably get a lot more for your money than you would from a Currys.

Couldn't find the laptop I want on those two links you provided. So I went along with buying it at currys and wow, this laptop is amazing. Love it! :)
