Just somthing that came across my mind and i thought i'd ask you lot what you think,
Question: Would you ever use Real Money to buy items/cash ingame (this is only for official games not privite servers)?

i think i would because if i was to go out for a friday night with my friend i'd probally spend about £20-40 if i didn't go out for a night that would be £20-40 i'd have to do with whatever i want so i'd probally spend about £20-25 on a game that i could have more memorys of (if thats the way to put it)

So whats your answer?

I have paid for gold on WoW before, that was when i had money and no commitments that required money. Kinda ruined the game play for me though you dont get the same satisfaction.

When i used to play kaori there was a guy on there who spent over 200 quid on wizz items till he had the best kit ingame shows how far some people are willing to go to be the best, me personally i wouldn't do it as i have more important things to spend my cash on.

I bought **** loads of gold for GW in my time. But now I don't play games and find myself being able to buy things I actually want.

I bought gold in WoW, Everquest 2 and Eve online, but they we're bloody cheap, and at the time I had nothing else I needed to buy

I bought gold on mir because i had money from 'donations' to my server, and transferring the money to my Estonian bank account is too much hassle and takes too much time/money.

I bought WoW gold in the past.

But I also sold over £6,000 worth of virtual items from mir.

So I guess I've never really made a loss from online gaming, other than my weight when I was a noob... but even that's gone now.

I'm glad I started mmorpgs.

ERm to be perfectly honest my answer is a simple no. I play the game for fun and fun only, I get the satistfaction from getting my own stuff isnt that wha the game is for? I don't want to be the best although it would bring great joy if i was due to working for it.

In my personal opinion I think paying for stuff is a form of cheating (cheating yourself out of the game) if you want cash why not go hunt for it etc as buying it from someone for real life cash is just the same as using a bot to get the cash, you ain;t doing it yourself. Ok maybe your paying something for it like real cash but I just don't see the point.

I'd rather spend my cash on things I actually can enjoy in real life.

Saying all that I'd sell stuff on net from offical games but in private server I just give them out to guild as we a close guild :P

P.s Spending £20-40 on a night out wtf how you do that? where do you go drinking? As that's cheap my boyfriend and myself can go out to pub at 7pm and by time we come back at 2am we've spent over £80 sometimes even £100 :O !

In games like WoW and GW your paying dirt cheap prices to get items which are also cheap and help you advance etc. Thousands of people buy WoW gold everyday, becaue in WoW gold = time and nothing else. In a game like mir, no matter how much time you have you may never ever get hold of one of the rarer items.

It all depends what you pay, what your paying for and what you want from it. People who buy gold on WoW or Lineage2 do so because it makes progression easier, the top epics will never be bought and will always require dedication and work. Therefore you know the people with them have worked for and earnt them

Buying a slayer in Mir is retarded because everyone who does it, does it to buy into popularity, having a slayer doesnt make you that much better, it just makes people look at you and think your great. Also mir sucks ass as a game and anyone that still plays official only does so because they are too scared to go elsewhere and actually not know what they are doing etc.
