Well, aside from seeing people profit off of other peoples' work... if only from an experimental point of view I think it would be interesting to see how well a single server could fare when there is no competition.

Everyone here is hunting nostalgia, and what's more nostalgic than everyone on the same server? I just think it's a very rare opportunity worth exploring, because WoOOL is essentially Mir but just different/untouched enough for it to be interesting again.

I agree, nothing good would come out of releasing these files. No one would contribute anything back to progress them, and itll just turn in to them being shared outside of the community or saturated with people wanting to make money off them.

As much as I'm all about the sharing, the community has shown its colours, and these files would be much better off with a single well run server by someone who actually wants to increase the WooL player base and bring a nostalgic experience back.

Agree with this 100%

Let's hope sanity has some sanity.

Would love to see this open source but agree with all of the above.

Love your work LCD could never discredit you.

@Sanity
can you split the source code files every 600 lines of code a new source code file

it will have potential if the code files were 600 lines long maximum each

we could program with chatgpt

It is all very well saying it looks good but this server needs more testers. What's stopping people from playing? There hasn't been a single wipe or game breaker bug. Curious

Left the launcher running for over 24hrs and made 0 download progress. Certainly stopped me

Did you try turning it off and on again during those 24 hours?
Only thing that worked was getting a friend to upload the full client, played a single day before an update ended it lol

To be fair, I've tried downloading it to try, and I'm just getting stuck on this screen:

Ignore me. I stupidly didn't run the launcher first. Mines downloaded to 100%.

Oddly enough mines stuck also, got 6gb left to go.
11.2gb to go :ROFLMAO:

Edit for anyone else suffering my issue, disable ipv6 in network adapters. Fixed it for me
