it doesnt download the patch. can someone please help?

take the two files from the zip, put them in a new folder somehwere, anywhewre you like.

run the client.exe as admin

I also had this problem to begin with. Ended up installing direct X and .NET framework along with the developer tools version.....found the links somewhere within lomcn forum. Also had to disable firewall and hey presto, game installed.
