cant log my char in :(

Hi, I have now managed to get my server running, but am unsure why i cant play it, and yes i have looked thru past posts... lol

when i run mir.exe it connects allows me to create a new char, but when i try to log in i get to the next screen (where u click the server name in the box) and then nothing happens........ i left this screen running for 40 mins and nothing happened.

does anyone have any ideas. I have got this far by guess work and am now hitting a brick wall.....

is this when creating a new char or existing ?


If its an existing char it could be that the character ur using is on a map that was taken out of the server to solve this go to dbserver.exe search for the character load and reset the position of it

new char ... m2server not working properly .. ?

i see this when chosing server names ? as in cannot get to char screen if so then u have wrong server name

how do i change server name???

It was a wrong server name or ip in his gamegate

hell we had these probs 2 years ago and we still having them now
the search must not work on this forum

well i had 2 problems, both of them he solved easily, coz i was being a biff

1. server name in ftp.ini was missing a capital letter :P
2. mir.exe was wrong, i had to chage mir.dat to mir.exe and it all works fine.

all i got to do now is figure out how to edit everything and do my own drops etc, as when i put an armour on i shows a naked char carrying a sword lol

i did try to search but wasnt sure what i was looking for. but neways ty guys
