Carnt get into my router(HELP)

hi all iv been in command prompt & typed ipconfig this brings up my

ip address
subnet mask
default gateway

now to get into my router i copy the 192.168.1.1 into my address bar right?

when i do this it takes me to msn search >.< why?


p.s does a 2 port ethernet hub allow 1 internet conn to be shared with 2 pc'sif so ill go buy one.?

What router have you got?

If its belkin, try 192.168.2.1

You forgot to put 'http://' before the IP address. Btw, the routers IP is the IP of the 'default gateway'.

Could also be 192.168.0.1 - some DLink's use that.

Ty got into it now ended up that im haveing to but a new onw anyway
