Character Prob

Ok I Got My server up for testing for selected people but when i goto make a character nothing happens. when i log in it says unable to get character information.

can any one help thanks

Are you running it via a router? I had the same problem you have missed out a step in the instructions if thats the case,...


Step 1

Go to SQL - in Account:

TBL_PUBIPS
192.168.0.150 LoginGW MIR3
192.168.0.150 SET1 DB Conn MIR3
192.168.0.150 SET1 GameSrv1 MIR3
<Net IP> LoginSerer MIR3

Step 2

Same db

TBL_SELECTGATEIPS
<server name> <netip> 7100 MIR3

Step 3
DBSvr folder !serverinfo.txt
<local IP>,<net ip>:7200

The setup.txt talks local to the server - so its local ip.

Basically get your server so it works local - then follow them lot of instructions to change for net ip - you should find then it allows you to access your server from the net. Reason i said i had the same problem - i forgot the serverinfo one and one of them in SQL (doh i dont follow my own instruction eh) and could login but not get a char - this was why like..
