There aren't any chavs in Essex. Just people that wear sports gear 24/7, smoke and take drugs; they also consume alcohol on an extremely high basis. Oh wait...
I live in Essex.
It's nothing like that, honestly.
I wear jeans, shirts, sometimes hoodies, but that's because I like the look of them, and it's something to keep you warm.
Never smoked or done drugs.
I drink, but only on occasions.
Obviously there's people that're different to me, but no one I know is like you've stated (and I live in the London Borough Of Redbrige, more specificially, Romford, if that makes a difference).
To be honest, there's more Asians than anything (not that I have a problem with Asians, my best friend is Malaysian).
I seem to be in the minority in my school.
When I was younger I used to get hassle from a few chavs, but since I've not had to wear school uniform I've had no one say a thing to me.
The thing is, if you don't bother them, they won't bother you.
Or, learn to drive and they won't mess with you at all.
