For a lot of our needs... They are cheap and the service is fantastic, I am not sure if they have Windows VPS though, we use them mainly for hosting and I am a Linux fan boy, so I just get Linux boxes.

I don't think it will make much of a difference for what you want it for .

Be sure to double check the location, just because the company is in a certain country, doesn't mean they won't provision a server else where.

They host mirfiles which I know is in France that's why I said, but yeah always good to double check with them

Its fine buddy, we have all asked those questions or felt that uncertainty at some point, there is a lot of choice and too many aspects to consider when looking at hosts...

I have the cheapest VPS 1&1 offer and it runs a test server rather okay. They don't charge for windows as such, it's just more expensive than the standard linux servers which is usually the case for hosting companies.

Linux is now an option now with these c# files.. I had them set-up on my Ubuntu VPS using Mono..
