Lets hope Samuel responds/watches this thread. My last one went completely unnoticed, which really disappoints me, but there's always hope.

The following video shows two things.

1. Love using some sort of mirboots instarun/no delay casting speed. No archer in this game can run, hit perfectly, instant run again, hit perfect, instant run again and actually GAIN DISTANCE on someone who is of the same speed as them. It was a joke lol. No walking what so ever, which is where I'm supposed to be able to land a hit.

2. Several times you'll notice me either "lag" backwards slightly (char screen moves back in comparison to hers) this is not me lagging, this was recorded at 60fps usual speed. This only occurs when I hold down shift, and it seems to "lag" the character backwards. Sometimes it gets really, really bad. This has gotten much worse since last patch. Also to note, the holding shift but "standing next to them like a spack" problem that's persisted since server has come up, where I should be swinging, but instead just stand still.

Honestly, couldn't give a damn about the archer but this video was a perfect example of why melee fighting on here is just flat out broken and really needs looking into/tested properly by the right people. Note, 2 of your testers (Jamie, Ellmo) who tested your melee pvp have now sold up and quit the game...

Please Sam. Let me at least help you fix melee pvp.

I can lol only with buffs up. I dont face the wrong way when shooting or instarun that fast though, theres still a slight delay. Also you should dash more to make up the distance lol.

Trouble is koriban this is sams representation on how he sees a mir server. Theres plenty of issues ingame that wont changed to an official standard. even jamie explained what the yellow poison change would to regarding flash dash and making it redundant. It only takes a 4 minute test to see. Yet still it got changed.

I realised that it does not matter if im right or wrong, my opinion only counts as 1. Look how long it took for wizzys ai to be changed every wiz ingame wanted the change.

I decided that it wasn't for me so left. Sam has done a cracking job, probably just needs a bit more experienced help. Which you might be able to do

We've all been saying Melee PVP is broken since day one, but sam seems to think he's "fixed a bug".


I dont know why everyone thinks these files are the "best" files about, their absolute ****, you cant even do something as simple as PVP on a melee class without feeling like your left holding your **** in your hand, even worse is he's that pig headed to think thats how it should be and he's fixed some elusive bug.

Uhmm there are two posibilities

1: he is actually hacking and needs to be banned.

2: hes abusing a new bugged that happened to me yesterday too, wheres if you shoot fast enough and try to run again you can actually keep running and your movementspeed wont be walk run after a skill but it requires perfect timing. this glitch has probably came up since cast times were reduced and if you'd train yourself i'd actually see it working

This is not a new bug, it's been around since Mir began.

But in order to actually pull it off to consistency is almost impossible without some sort of auto-aim. Due to how clunky the system currently is, if you hold right click (so that you are running forwards) then hold down the key you want (F4, fireshot) for example, it will cast it at wherever your mouse is casting and proceed to autorun.

In order to do what this person does in the video, you need to, every single time the spell is being cast, flick the mouse to the target and then back in the direction you are running - I've tried doing it myself with small success but after 2 or 3 attempts you simply end up running in the opposite direction towards the person, because of how clunky the system is at casting also - it's impossible to correctly guess when the spell is going to cast after 2 or 3 times, which makes me question how the person in this video manages to do with flawless accuracy.

If I weren't at work, I'd upload a video showing exactly what you/I are talking about.

you missed a few chances you could of hit

Due to me holding shift but due to the mouse being in a certain position, does not actually swing... (The famous "spack" position I'm so very fond of...)

To others asking me to give up / test a different server - I would honestly love to, but I'm passionate about this server and the effort I've put into it is too much for me to just throwaway.

before the cast changes this wasn't possible whatsoever cause the casting times were too long but i agree that either he;d be one diehard mir player on hes just cheating cause it takes aloooooot of skill to keep it up

Tbh mate I think they have given up. How hard is it to check forums and possibly respond from your mobile phone? Not many places in the UK don't have a good signal.

Im completely disheartened by the lack of common decency and lack of response from the team on all subjects. Just because some of the community can't be nice and offer constructive criticism doesn't mean you **** the rest off and not respond to Us. The lack of response is what makes the normally pleasant people not so pleasant. It's not like we are doing this for reward we are trying to help the server as we thought it was good and a prospect for the future.

I did this like all the time on Dragon Server...

I was ignored on test server when i asked if melee pvp was going to be improved, and was ignored ever since. It was really disrespectful, even moreso when I'm offering my help to fix the goddamn thing, but as far as I can see everyone's getting the same treatment. Perks of being behind a monitor.

Also, the client is capped to 60fps and is horribly slow. Even exp spam on the top left is so slow it stutters, just like everything else. But it's apparently spot on and "the fastest client ever". Running speed is slow, hitting speed is slow, casting speed is slow, reaction speed from the server is so glitchy it's rendered slow, and all of this at a very high tick rate. And at the designed speedcap. It's like being slow, on drugs.

What is beyond me is that with the tick rate being so high you'd expect that competition was endorsed at the start of the project and then castrated with an fps cap so low, and a truck of syncing mini-bugs.

Not really into this sort of posts, but respect (or the lack of it) is a 2 way thing.

Ignoring is 2 step Walk -> Run (After being hit).

There are 2 other cheats going on.

No Animation Cheat.
MagicLock to Player cheat.

Yes it is a hobby but he has made a commitment and a lot of people have give money to the cause. I am not expecting him to be present 100% of the time. Just for him acknowledge the problems. We don't even expect a fix right away if the problem was acknowledged.

I started a sin as I missed melee PvP and enjoyed my sin on USA mir. I got in to a fight with a war the other day it is was one of the worst PvP experiences I've ever had... from that moment on I decided archer for life for pvp.

Every one wants their own individual response right now and everyone thinks that their message is the most important one.
No one likes being ignored but expecting a answer from someone who has a real life job, a real life and is doing this as a hobby is unrealistic.
Maybe if everyone of the team logged on every day and posted a message that said
Today I am /reading all the forum/the messages/the bug reports/ doing some coding/ trying to sort out accounts/ banning people(choose one) I may not be able to reply to everybody.
If you saw a message like that would it be enough?
