Who's gonna get stuck working christmas day? i've asked for it off but because we work 24/7 on weekends and christmas falls on saturday chances are i'll be working 12am-7pm, only a 7 hour shift so still get to see my kids unwrap and i can have a drink after work

work in security so sites have to be covered even over holidays, companys dodgey as **** though, they wont pay double time etc for working bank holidays, christmas etc, although this year they have offered us a bonus if we work over christmas. someone last year got sacked because he asked for time and half for christmas day, sucks really

I used to work security, major suckage, 14 hour to 24 hour shifts with no overtime and all holidays without bonus lol... even with all the employment laws fat cats still find a way around them

without work, no christmas. i work 60+ hours a week so my two kids can have a better life. by the looks of things i'll deffo be working christmas day

Our whole business closes 23rd December and opens after the new year, so all good for me.

Same.. but i got to give up 3 days of my holidays......like WTF? If i refuse nobody else will be in the office.. bit gay, and considering i only get 16 and i just started full time, i will moan about it ¬.¬
