Chronicles v Mir2 Korea

I wish I could speak Korean because Mir2 Korea looks soo much better than what we have. Do the devs on chronicles have the rights to implement all wemade content for chronicles because that would be awesome.

You should be grateful of what we have to be honest.

they do not have the "rights" to do anything, this is a private server and the whole thing is highly illegal.

They have the "ability" too though.

As nightscare has stated it is in actual fact illegal, however out of all the private servers that have been made, I can only recall one, possibly two people who have actually had legal action taken against them.

Mir Korea has always been extremely popular and its where all the content/updates etc comes from out the gate... So, yes, Korea is better.
has been the same way ever since Euro mirr, and its the reason the western versions have always suffered due to smaller population, smaller sums of money & therefore lack of interest in the west so we rarely got any updates as it wasn't worth them translating things - it was only contractual obligations that forced them to do any updates at all.

Be happy with what we have, while yes its only fan made - the simple fact is, without it - we'd have nothing.
(also private servers are illegal, but i highly doubt WeMade etc give a flying **** about a few hundred players)

Interesting, I didn't realize the Chronicles team don't have copyright permission to run the game. Don't get me wrong I'm very grateful to have access to such a great game, but it would be sweeet to get all the extra content.

IMO if an email template was made to send to Wemade, requesting Mir for Europe; it could work.

So awesome :P...

Please bare in mind that Korean Mir have a team whole team dedicated to coding and we have one coder ><.

As much as I want to roll out as much content as possible, I unfortunately still only have two hands (unfortunately) :(.

Would be a great idea if you could some how get the user base involved in creation. after all it is a server from lomcn users for lomcn users and fellows alike.

obviously the coding side of things is something that people cant just simply pick up due to your source being closed and private. i know there's a few people that would like to help in this respect but cant simply because of this. obviously theirs a trust elament aswell for leaks ect ect so the risks kind of out weigh the benefits.

but on a 2nd note you could release an updated mapedit aswell as tiles ect and get users creating fun and vibrant maps. i know from the 1.9 ledu days this made the server i hosted thrive for alot longer than it should have what with the likes of RZ ect running

also user created quest ideas obviously its quiet time consuming thinking and writing decent quests. kill x here and collect y there seem to be the just of chronicles. get users creating quest dialog and ideas means you can jusat pick up the ideas and implement them

you kind of get the idea

would love to see this

This sounds like a great! idea. Have community member create content that Sam could check and test before adding to live. This could seriously increase the amount of content we have to play with and wouldn't be as risky as giving people direct access.

It's all about the money, they don't see the value in hosting their own because the CCU isn't enough for them to see it as a worthwhile venture.

In a F2P game you need very large volume of subscribers because on average you can only count on less than 10% spending money in an item shop. Granted those that do spend tend to spend higher volumes than they would on a subscription game, but its a difficult balancing act.

The ratios here may be different, we may have a higher number of people spending because you've got quite a niche elite following.

The amounts of money involved in a private company licensing a Wemade game mean you would need tens of thousands of subscribers with concurrency figures into the thousands.

With all that said, I won't lie, I have considered licensing an official server recently (looking at options).
