Recently The server Team have done their best efforts to salvage what they could and made a lot of good positive changes but i'm afraid its too late you need to have it fixed/working fun to play from the start, first impressions is the most important and there have been too many mistakes and doing things wrong earlier in servers life, having Turricans drop files for first few months, wizzys completely broken as a class for 5 months and still only have 1 cave to AOE in entire server, Archers 1 shotting everybody with AB, Ranged monsters being irritatingly bugged and too many of them in all caves, BDD being bugged and broken, bugged bosses dropping crazy, Ridiculously Rare skill books meaning boring to play classes without there main skills, File Leaks, Cheaters, botting and just genrally its not a fun server to play far far too many gold sinks, OKS not being in its home means no epic guild wars and fun PVP over it, Sabuk wall is pointless no rewards for having that and there is no other walls?? Mud wall and castle gi daily wars wud be fun with 24 hour rewards worth it to make ppl fight and pvp. Just too much has gone wrong they lost too many players they will never get back.

This server has 2 months left in it enjoy it (if you can) while it lasts as soon as C source server comes out this place is gunna be dead.

Chronicals is and has been doing the best ive seen ever... (almost as good as me! :P jks) keep it up , im actually proud of lomcn for working together on this , and also proud of the small amount of people who help and support the GMs and Mods with the issues that seem to relentlessly appear in game. unlike some ...

so to slate this and the work thats been put into it , in my eyes is a fail (my oppinion)

as for other server owners
im not going to say names or what not...

but theres many upcomming servers that have and offer a DIFFERENT type of mir play (STILL WITH BUGS / BOTS / LEAKS AND MORE GARRENTEED)

what gets me is...
why did you feel to rip a kind post that was clearly here to boost the moral of the people supporting lomcn .. ?

Not read the details yet.
But I believe it is the best service I ever played in my MIR life.
The good game does not make a good server, but the good people do.
It is the man who is managing the server I valued.
I support this server and I will not hesitate to introduce this server to whoever what to play.

Most people are waiting for a certain new server to come out.. I think this one will struggle once it released.

The user count went from 600-100 doesnt take a genius to work out something went wrong down the lines lol.

The usercount last night was atleast 202 ... how wrong are you, iv noticed your playing sabre mir ... then why not go play there and comment on there forum rather than coming here and spouting your rubbish... your really think bens c server is going to be any competition .... you forget ben is a money grabber everyone knows this as soon as the server dries up oooo lets make a new server!! Im sorry pal I for one will never play a server of bens again due to past experiences and many of other people will probably feel the same

The internet hates white knight syndrome & everybody hates a brown nose. The mir community is full of ****s, a bunch of bitter, nostalgic fools unable to accept that this game should of died years ago, it's no surprise everybody is so negative.

Being nice and brown-nosing are different things. People can be nice to someone without expecting a reward from the person they're being nice to. Or in the case of this thread (or specifically Clintus' similar thread from 10 days or so ago) he already received the reward - all the hard work the team do.

Think word will get round that this mir is more fun now.

Levelling- theres really no need to wait for the changes. Its not that hard to level, you got offers of help. Its only a real grind if you solo.

The server is great and has a lot of potential its just hard keeping the higher tier players interested. Up till level 42/43 its all good fun then the real grind begins but from what ive read they are looking into it .

How hard is it just to send a Private Message to Sam + BH.. This way the Keyboard Warrior's stay in their cave

and in my opinion its allot more personal if someone takes the time to send a Private Message he's just doing it for rep

No, it's not. There's nothing wrong with reminding people to try and keep their dickishness in their pants, not let it spill out onto the forums and especially not have it be aimed at the only two people who are dedicating most of their free time to make the game others play for free more enjoyable.

So an opinion/view from a fresh starter isn't welcome? I made the post aimed at the current players from a new players point of view, there's absolutely no reason to private mail one of the staff what I wrote. You just felt the need to get your claws in for whatever reason big girl.

Despite my lack of activity recently (down to starting gym [urgh] and us having decent weather so I can venture out for a few hours) I still love this server and like others, would recommend to anyone who asked about decent mmorpgs.

I dont get why people are complaining about changes to a server once its open (drops / exp / caves / skills e.c.t.)...

It's like all games, they ALL change, you play a game with that in mind, you have a super strong item one minute, but you know future patches and expansions will make it obsolete, it's the purpose of making you want to hunt for better stuff.

You feel the changes more on here, as the changes take longer (because instead of a multi million £/$ company you have 2 people working their asses off before/after their actual jobs to provide a server to people who really enjoy the game) - they also have lives away from mir and their jobs.

The fact people keep saying it's dropped from 600+ players too 100+ players (its more like 200+ peak times) is natural for most games.

Seen it happen on a vast amount of games... one SoE released a game on steam (game was already live for ages) they got a constant 1000 members, then it quickly depleted back down to 300/400 players. Casual gamers will ALWAYS game hop, they find a game, get their interest in the game quickly depleted once they hit a part that involves any effort, and google "New MMORPGS" or what have you.

The fact this server;

Provides a decent mir player base (200+)
Has banned a serious amount of cheaters (most can't afford to lose the players so warn them 100x)
Actively find and ban botters (doing a decent job of it, no game has even been able to fully stop them)
Has a vast amount of quests / maps to explore
Has a insanely nice in game atmosphere (majority of people in game are awesome)
The GMs are very responsive and try keep everyone in the loop
Implementing and making changes to the server (keeping it fresh) and drops changing means you need to keep testing the waters in multiple caves
Constantly making and putting in new content.
The fact is that they also don't sell gear in game - so you can't just join and buy your way to the top.
(...I could continue on for ages...)

If you don't appreciate what they do in their time, the least you can do is stop wasting ours and yours by typing things no one has any interest in reading. If you have any thing to pitch to the GMs do it without an arsey tone and be constructive and they will listen, it doesn't mean it will be done over night.

All I can say is, I have had (and have) fun constantly on this server
Thank you to both the GMs and the players for that

I hope this server continues on for a long time to come (I don't see why it wont)
