The Matrix!!
Just put my new 6000 X2 in and went into the bios to check everything is ok!! Bios is reporting CPU temp as 121 degree C!! Now it can be that hot cos ive felt around close to the base of the cooler and its freezing cold. I use an Akasa Evo Blue Cooler, just for reference.

In windows using everest, the sensor reading for my system are as follows:

Sensor Properties:
Sensor Type Winbond W83627EHF/EHG, Fintek F75383S/384S (ISA A10h, SMBus 4Ch)
GPU Sensor Type Driver (NV-DRV)
Motherboard Name MSI MS-7250 / MS-7260
Chassis Intrusion Detected Yes

Temperatures:
Motherboard 36 °C (97 °F)
CPU 41 °C (106 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #1 16 °C (61 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #2 15 °C (59 °F)
Aux 120 °C (248 °F)
GPU1: GPU 49 °C (120 °F)
GPU2: GPU 42 °C (108 °F)
ExcelStor Technology J8160S 34 °C (93 °F)
Seagate ST3500320AS 29 °C (84 °F)
Maxtor 6B160P0 35 °C (95 °F)
Maxtor 6Y160P0 28 °C (82 °F)

Now the motherboard temperature seems to match what the BIOS says, but the only temp similar is this AUX thing? what should i take notice of, the BIOS or Everest? Ive read that sometimes winbond reads a faulty or broken sensor as AUX and combines several termpratures and reports it as CPU in the BIOS?

Cheers in advance.

Last time my comp was telling me my CPU was mega hot, i just took it out and put it back in and it worked fine.

Wouldn't worry about it too much, its obviously not that temperature.

Don't worry about that 120c reading, its wrong, but if that 6000+ X2 you have is the Brisbane version, they have faulty sensors.

Try your Motherboards temp monitoring program, theyre normally more correct, like EasyTune is with my 5600+ brisbane.
