client exe issue

Myself and my son both have an issue that started bout an hour ago
The client exe file that we normally click to start the game has become unrecognisable to windows.

I have downloaded mir again but the exe file keeps losing the mir icon and windows doesnt recognise the type of file it is.
I'm not explaining it well but any help to get back in game would be helpful

Delete your Client.exe or OldClient.exe

download this into the apoc folder

I have the same issue and ur solution does not work for me.
Net framework says Unhandled exception has ocurred in ur application.
Oh well, gotta start preparing for New Years Eve

Go to windows defender, and somewhere there find an option to Exclude a folder/file.

Exclude the entire Apocalypse folder.

Then go to my previous post, and repeat that process.

I actually didnt do anything with Windows Defender. I deleted the game, downloaded the version of the game without the exe which u can find in one of the stickies on the forum, downloaded the Client that Koriban posted above and somehow it worked after several tries (meaning it didnt work from the first 2-3 tries)

Now it's not working again. It now says wrong version when i open exe file and Mir starts
It says to download the correct autopatcher?

I redownloaded the whole thing again,
It works again but i dont know for how long
Fingers crossed seems to be the best way atm
