Client Problem

Ok i have set my server up but i have a problem with the client

when i load up loader it says ktest where my server name should be and then it has on the bottom Server status: Closed and i can not get into game i have changed some of the ini's and it just keeps chnging from ktest to ] or back to ktest.


Please tell me if i am doing something wrong


Im using the client from usa mir with the client files from the 3.5x server

firstly, i think the recommended client files for use with 3.55 are euro files. not sure if they work with usa ones... never tried. i would recommend trying the euro client.

the rest of your description is a little unclear. when you say loader, are you talking about loader3g? or the client loader?

if its loader3g, and says ktest, your !setup is wrong.

if its client, you need to be sure you are using the 3.68 client patch and have setup the client files correctly with server name/ip (program provided)

Yes, the server name and ip is encoded using the encryption mir3 uses and so you cannot change the ini just by typing 127.0.0.1 you must encode your values first. Post the ini for me to look at and I shall tell you your err if I can.

Hello Sorry for anyconfusion

The loader i am using is clent loader that came with the server files

i thought the mir3 INI was encrypted but didnt know what program to use

is it list maker or am i wrong

I had to load it as a txt file as it wont load as the ini not sure why

It was what I was trying to explain - you must encrypt the entries using ListMake.exe - it is not chinese you see but encrypted strings. Use what coly has given you and it should work.

yeah it has worked now

I now have another problem Its with the select server as in after you log in and before your chars i have looked through datasvr and its all correct ip's in
SQL but i cant understand the chinese with the Gate's

hasa anyone translated them yet??

the only probs i have ever received with select server screen is when i have not setup the RegServer.exe correctly...

Thats the problem i have put my ip in and everything else in but still nothing i cant read chinese so i cant see if there is an error or a problem has anyone been able to translate them or not?

or is there a program i can use and i will try to translate myself

as in a decompiler so i can accsess the text

nope all Exe-File from 17ng Packed with Arma or ACProtect. you can't easy decompile the tools.
