Well can ya give us the IP address then we can determine if its a problem for everybody, or it just exists on ur end.
I couldn't connect to the server either. I think your friend has a problem with his firewall. Tell him to allow ports 3000, 7000, 7100 and 7200.

Well it depends how he has closed them really doesn't it lol.
In zonealarm its a case of allowing the program to access the outside interent and act as a server. While in the windows firewall its a matter of manually entering in all the ports.

Well if you are trying to get an External IP meaning any1 can connect to your computer Then:
Windows XP: Start > Run > cmd > (type in) ipconfig /all
Windows 98: Start > Run > winip
NOTE:- You wan't the IP which is not 255.255.255.0 / 127.0.0.1 / 192.168.0.1.
Infact anything in the 127.xxx.xxx.xxx or 192.xxx.xxx.xxx range won't work for the outside world. Search LOMCN there are plenty of Router guides floating about. Or search out Atomicide the resident router expert
