Why not try Uni? i myself want to goto Uni and im only 14 i get good grades atm actually top grades in all subjects except 1. I don't think you would have to goto night school tbh.

I'll repost with what subjects coz i know a site which tells you just need to remember it

You have to go collage 1st for 2 years or so to do A levels after i can do University. Which would allow me to study game desigining.

As for my grades i got predicted 7c and above and 1d in maths but dought ill get them. (when i done my science test in year 10 was easy as **** although i done foundation one cos teachers said shes not sure that id cope with higher i got 102/104)

When i lefted school i just wanted a easy ride and did a IT course, after 3months dropped out and bummed my life away for 6month. Then i went back to college and got stuck in doing painting and decorating, got qualified got a job and now its all good. Just dont do what i did and take the easy option as its only good for a month then you beguin to think "wtf am i doing?" with no money etc etc.

Doubt you'd get a full time job doing it, but you could always do weekend work getting cash in hand. Its just an easy way to get £50 and not get taxed onit.

Ill be frank (keep in mind I'm in college)...

Your preferred job choice will very likely not much care which or how good you did in your GCSE/GCE - unless your aiming for a good white collar job. They care a lot more about experiance. The same can be said for degrees... many businesses are increasingly starting to care less what you have, and in some cases testing you through their own processes.

If you want a job, and you don't think your going to do better than CCC at ALevel, consider taking the vocational route. Appentriceship as ever, are typically taken for the less than fantastically intelligent... mainly because they are concentrated on manual work. However there are an increasing number for things such as IT and Administration.

However if you just want a grounding in any subject... ALevels are perfect, you can consider going to vocational route after youve done them if you havent done so well. If your college offers a Computer Science... take it - it will give you a taster of any CS: Game programmer degree - its not likely to be much harder either (btw IT/ICT is not a computer science, they're the equivilant of an ALevel in using the telephone in the 1980's)

Also remember to take other subjects too, in order to ensure you have a wide grounding and don't look too specalised... too early. I have Computing, business, law, government and politics, and history - and I'm most likely going the computing route too.

Hope that confused you more :P

I got A-levels in maths, physics, geog and biology cos i was keeping my options open.

When it came to applying for a computer science degree the fact i hadnt done anything to do with computers didn't matter.

If you mess up, negotiate. I was supposed to have done really well at GCSE, but i found rioting more fun that revision, and ****ed up.

Fact is, you can always negotiate and explain how it was a bad day.

And for the love of god, going to a College for A-levels is like going to McDonalds for healthy food.

If you can only muster a C at maths, i'd strongly suggest a different career path. It's nothing personal, but you WILL struggle, and you WILL find it hard.

If I were you, I wouldn't be so confident in your assessment. If your going to do a REAL computer course, i'd say theres a 7/10 chance you will be cohersed into some sort of maths module - especially if your hoping to do more than put pretty pictures into a HTML page.

You think you can get by in VB/C/PHP/Flash/AJAX etc without being able to cope with maths? - Not likely.

You dont understand what im traying to say.

If u try to code say a html page will u have a inerqualities equasion or some sort or problem saying a man digs 100 holes in 5 days how many days can 4 people dig a hole. You dont its just basic maths skills...

you dont understand.

you may just want to do web designing, but you cant just take a university course in web designing, you WILL be doing other programming skills. and i bet its more than likely some of those will need at least AS level maths.

i took software engineering so i could keep clear of games programming, as it requires alot of maths. yet in my first year i still have above A level maths to cope with on a daily basis.

I doing computer science degree. And in 1st year had 3 maths modules : maths for software, maths for programming and advanced maths.

You will need maths at very least i would say a high gcse or maybe an AS
