hey guys when i record a fraps video for like 3 mins like like 5gb+ lol just wanted to no if any1 no's how to make the file smaller i no there is a way

Dude... you seriously know nothing lol. Why would he wan't to make the video like 176x128 size.... It will hardly be watchable on a PC monitor.

Why is the AVI movie generated by Fraps so big? How can I reduce the size?
The filesize is big because there isn’t enough time to encode the movie while the game is running. The movie frames are slightly compressed, but still require a large amount of disk space due to the high resolutions. Once you have finished capturing you should convert the saved AVI into one of the popular compressed movie formats such as mpeg or divx. Recommended programs for doing this are tmpgenc (Tsunami Mpeg Encoder), and VirtualDub.
Using VirtualDub is quite easy. To create a compressed version of the AVI follow these steps:
- Start VirtualDub
- Select File->Open and choose the AVI in the Fraps directory you wish to compress.
- Select Video->Compression and choose the codec you wish to compress with (usually divx)
- Select File->Save As AVI and specify a filename for the new AVI.

who said that the max resolution is 176x128? u can change also to 640x480 which is like a normal tv.

That program just changes the resolution... Changing it to 640x480 would leave the file still HUGE.

dude i really dont wanna fight or something, but please stop posting without checking, true u probably understand more then me in this area, as i was never music fan, but i gave good enough program to rampage needs.

Let me bring an example.
Bob asks the forum what specifications his machine should have to encode video files. Jim replies saying he should have 20 PC's with a 200mhz processor in each of them encoding small clips of the video.
Yeah it would work, but it's a stupidly lame way of doing it.

In an unique way that is BETTER than the previous way of doing things... Not going from using rocks to kill deer to use leaves to capture and eat rocks...
lol crist a arguement over sumthing as simple as how to resize and compress a file.. virtualdub does the job wonders and yes there are PLENTY of ways of doing it apart for Vdub but the point being is nomatter how many ways have been invented they all end in the same outcome so why argue over the same solutions?...
