the gpu is very very low end mate, even though this is a 15 year old game it seems to require top 25-40% gpu to run it smoothly.

i have;
i7 2600
gtx 970 (vram doesnt matter)
8gb ram
EDIT - Windows 7 64bit

seems to run fine, i dotn have fps counter on while playing as it distracts me, but i am sure its stuck over 50fps.

I run on a relatively low spec laptop OK (very rarely dip below 60)... I find that windows power management plays a huge part in my performance though...

If I unplug my laptop, windows, under the covers changes my performance settings, so I need to have my laptop constantly plugged in and power management set to performance other wise I see problems.

My Alienware laptop has dual graphics cards. It can run top end games on full settings, easily.

However, for mir it switches to the onboard graphics, because it sees it as a non demanding game, and doesn't need the dedicated.

As a result, barely sees more than 30fps.

You don't want to run chronicles on a laptop if you're looking for good to great performance.

I would be surprised if your on board graphics card struggled to run the client? What is the spec of it out of curiosity?

It's a major issue atm Sam laptops in general struggle with the game despite being able to play 3d games fine. I'm not sure if it's to do with the dx being used or w/e. But you really need high end equip to be of decent speed. Then there's the top 1% with the "ping" advantage I say that in brackets as I don't believe that the ping differences people are experiencing give you that much advantage if we were talking 100ms then yea but we're not :)

Also didn't you mention power issues on your system created Lagg?

Yeah I appreciate it is frustrating for some... I am just not completely convinced it is as simple as it is believed to be... The main issue here is no one (including us) really understands what is causing it at the moment...

My laptop for example is a core 2 duo, 4gb ram with an on board graphics card and it runs Chronicles fine... Well, as you say, only when the power supply is plugged in.

But then on the flip side I have access to a i7, 16gb ram and dual graphics that runs fine also...

So, it is equally frustrating for me because I am unable to reproduce and/or identify the issue.

One the biggest things iv realised on my 7 year old laptop is i get between 25-30fps a little less when a lot of people are on screen fighting for example. But as soon as the towns hit day light it instantly locks at 60 and doesnt budge. This some how leads me to believe it may have something to do with your dynamic lighting, possibly.

Sony Vaio
Core 2 duo 2.26ghz
4gb ddr2
Radeon Gfx 4800 512mb
Windows7.

There is fine and there is great though.

My my laptop runs the game OK it has an i5 and 6GB of ram and a pretty poor gt330m. Runs ok. Any sort of action on screen ie. One other person using skills or a big lure of mobs. Then it drops and becomes almost unplayable. Would be unplayable if it where pvp.

On my desktop which I said the specs of further up it is very good performance. Not perfect but very good. Action can slow it down a bit. But it generally is playable. Maybe if I had played anything other than a warrior competitively I would have found it less playable.

When end my GPU died and I had to run the game from my i7 gpu it was playable. A little more so than my laptop.

i7 3770k, 32gig ram and a titan here and I couldn't get 60 fps without messing around with windows 7 theme settings.

I probably saw a 10 fps increase just by playing around with those settings.

I hope you've declared that amount of ram to the authorities.
