Well i just got a new contract phone and i've just turned it on, now when i text ALL to 150, im suposed to have 700 minutes and unlimited texts and when i get the text back it says:

Your current allowance is: * 290.8 minutes talk time Your unbilled balance on 21/12/08 is £0.00(ex VAT and any unprocessed charges)

Any ideas?​

Basically it means you've been allocated a pro-rata amount between the period you purchased the phone and your next billing period, which for the sake of example let's say is the first of the month.

What they've done is taken your total allowance (700 minutes per month) and devided it for the amount of time you've got remaining until your next bill (roughly 10 days) so you're getting 10 days worth of minutes, rather than 30 days worth. When the first (i.e. your next billing period) comes around you'll get your full 700.

It should also mean you get a reduced bill on your first payment.

Well logically speaking it'd be around 1k, but you'd proably be best to call up and check that, where it's u/l it might be exempt from pro-rata.

jus dial 150, press 1, press 2, and it will tell you how many minutes and texts you have left.

im on the same plan, and i dont think you shld have any problem with texts, iv got unlimited and have never had a problem with em evn on crazy months.

When i ring 150 and press 1, and then press 2 it says

You have 290 minutes and 190 text messages you have unlimited texts.

I don't see why it is saying the 190 text messages aswell as unlimited texts any ideas?

you prob have 190 this month (for 10 days) then unlimited after that then. on mine it just says you dont have this package, which means i have unlimited texts.

Thanks Farphit i checked after 12 PM yesterday now when i sent ALL to 150 it says:

Your current allowance is:
*389.47 minutes talk time
*5 free text messages to international numbre (This reward will expire 30 days after it was added to the account)

*194 texts
*Unlimited texts in the UK

So do you think i actually have the unlimited textes now?

i wldnt guarantee you have unlimited texts until your next months bill. prob worth just ringing 150 and talking to an advisor.
