[Curiosity] How do you play?

then **** off back to WoW. who really wants to sit around killing bosses which lets be honest here its mir the AI is a joke for all bosses always has been always will be. if u dont like PVP then your playing the wrong game end off. grow some balls

mir has always for me, been about the open pvp. dunno about u guys but i still get a buzz now, from starting or being attacked randomly in a cave or at a boss adds something thats missing from 90 % of new games.

if anything PK points on kill should be lowered or not last as long, you get in to a mass pvp drop 3+ people and ur out the game for while its 2014 now not 2004

while i not one for pvp it is what has always made mir what mir is sometimes u will get lucky and get the boss sometimes u wont . Those who feel big and clever killing those of a much lower lvl are those we should feel for as they cant have much of a life

Never 1 v 1 pvp or attack ppl but I do enjoy a good grp cave fight and*accept pk is part of the game. I enjoy solo hunting mainly cuz it annoys me hunting with ppl who don't know how to play.

but still in every mir is opn pvp , and when i startet mr3 i did know that ist a pvp game(Server)!!!!

I dont play for pvp.ive always enjoyed hunting, questing, bossing etc. I will only fight in defence or for a boss, cba wiv random pk. However pk is a part of mir and I wouldnt change a thing. Ive played carebear servers (no pk drop etc) and seems something is lacking.

I would say tho consider wen randomly pkin sum1 huntin that it could be my 70 yr old mum who plays this server who then rings me "so an so just pked me in st for absolutely no reason! "

I didnt say get red of pvp i said its imbalanced in Mir always has been, the ganking of low lvls and under equiped players is unfair. I dont like wow btw.

What i see in mir is that people quietly lvl like hell till they are high lvl then turn into psychos and start with the attitude and the Pking, you dont hear **** from them when there lvl 22, its only when they hit 40+ they come out of the wood work and start being assholes.

I just find it really strange that people who still play this after 12 years, have the same atitudes on the forums they had back in 2002, u would think age would mellow them and a bit of maturity would help, but hey ho, thats the internet for you.

I think you killed this to some extent in this mir version by moving OKS from its usual, easy accessible to anyone and everyone home.

Things may change when lords appear tho, we shall see..

I play the game for pvp lets be honest, if you work for the good kit you use it to drop other people you only want to be the best to and have the best kit to drop the best players the endgame of mir is always the pvp because even after you've killed every boss you can still have fun kiling other players.

I've always preferred pvp to be kept to wars or arena type fighting. If u got an issue with
someone take it to the pvp map not a map where others are hunting.

I missed the voting but I definitely play for fun and would turn off pk if I could. Pvp gives me anxiety. :#

There are a couple of interesting things...

First, 30% of the players do not like pvp.

The posts of Primo and Jamie gave me an idea, you could, instead make unpunished pvp, punish him severely.
Decay time of pk points doubled, Guards and Archers who kill the reds and drop full-body and bag in case of death.


This would transform the pvp stuff from a kids bully **** to a practice for professional players.

And...
It would give me back one of my favorite roles in Mir ... the bounty hunter!
But to make sense of it, a red dying must lose everything, otherwise there is no reason to risk a fight.

Are you brave enough to play a so set Mir?
Or do you want the usual "WoW for bullies"?

I'm for pvp, but I dnt just pk any randoms unless attacked first, mainly just rivel guilds etcs for the laugh and banter, not in a serious way.

Can't stand PKing; whats the joy in killing someone and see them loose hard won items? No gold, no exp. I play for the chill and don't want to deal with grief when I come on. Fortunately there are many like me playing too

My Mir style has changed over the years. back on Euro when I was in KOS, we would kill anyone we saw pretty much. I used to love playing like that. Now though, I prefer to play for fun. Level, kill bosses and if a fight happens to break out, I'm usualy one of the first in there. I don't go looking for a fight and I rarely PK anyone just because they are there but on guild hunts etc, fighting is as much fun as killing a boss.
