then **** off back to WoW. who really wants to sit around killing bosses which lets be honest here its mir the AI is a joke for all bosses always has been always will be. if u dont like PVP then your playing the wrong game end off. grow some balls

mir has always for me, been about the open pvp. dunno about u guys but i still get a buzz now, from starting or being attacked randomly in a cave or at a boss adds something thats missing from 90 % of new games.

if anything PK points on kill should be lowered or not last as long, you get in to a mass pvp drop 3+ people and ur out the game for while its 2014 now not 2004

Ur the ppl who played from start to the end. Ur the ppl who killed every server ur played. A later game for Mir is always about pvp and when most of the players in later game, the server is about to die. This happened so many times and never change. Think about a lvl 40 char is running around killing lvl 20 chars. Think about a full kit char pvp a hunting char without good kits. U just going to block any new players to enter the game cos no point to pvp a full kit char with speed hack.

If no pvp, what is the point of speed hacking and what is the point of botting for lvl? It is the core reason for hacks. If you want to make hack free games, simply just make hacking useless.

The motivation for most of the mir players is getting items and lvl to pvp and show their so called power. It is not for most of the pve players.

Think about this: U pk with the same players all day and U kill the same boss all day. What's gonna happen? U will feel bored and leave. Then find another server start lvling and doing same shi t again. Why? No new players. What u v done is just block them out.

WOW had kicked u out cos they dont like the players like you. But Blizzard had now more players than before. They survived for long while most of the mir server even official closed. Watch how quick a new server been started in Chinese official. That is why new server need to start.

A mir later game is no fun and that is why ppl leave. It just can be done by few shi t players and cheaters.

Dont blame the team. They already done well. But it prob will also end up with dead.

I said many times, BIG GUILD and CHEATERS kills any server. When there is no other guild to pk with, who will be the target of the guild? When there is no players to pk with, who u can pk with?

Make pvp alive, but keep it to the person who like them and also, pve players also can play pvp when it become more professional. It is no point to pvp a lvl 45+ char when you only 20+.

PvP has a place in Mir..... but some people prefer PvE, should they be hounded out of the game? why shouldn't people who want to, be allowed to play PvE?
some players play Mir as a form of escapism from real life problems, right or wrong it's a fact.... logging into Mir, they're hardly looking for more problems ingame, they get fed up and leave the game, players who don't like PvP leave the game.....
the player base you're left with, will that be enough to keep the server viable?
as said, PvP has it's place in any Mir server..... but mindless, random pking will kill a Mir server if left unchecked.... and with this being the best server I've seen in years, it's time is limited if pking continues as it is, or even increases..... watch the player numbers fade, how many players will Sam and other Devs keep the server running for? 500? 300? down to 100 PvP players decide it's no longer worth it?

There are a couple of interesting things...

First, 30% of the players do not like pvp.
---------- Post Merged at 09:13 AM ---------- Previous Post was at 09:11 AM ----------

Oh... and no safe zone for red people, obviously.

Think its the other way round

This much poll with more choices showed that less than 30% were interested in pvp
http://www.lomcn.org/forum/showthread.php?83219-What-aspects-of-the-game-do-you-most-enjoy

Is it people from the 70% who have gone and made the player count drop to half what it was?

grp fights always a laff, big grp fights even better.

I think you killed this to some extent in this mir version by moving OKS from its usual, easy accessible to anyone and everyone home.

Things may change when lords appear tho, we shall see..

Changing the spawn times so they less predictable stopped the fighting too. OKS fights were only in the last couple years when everyone was 43+ and the most annoying thing about them was that you could kill everyone but then they were back in a minute or so before you killed it. So is ok with me that you moved it. Plus it hasnt been dropping that good I hear. It did drop nice on euro but not often
People liked BG so much because you could fight people have fun but not drop not break stones and they couldnt get back fast.
That kind fight is great.
Cant see a way to keep the fights but discourage the pk outside groups/guilds without having a fight club type contest every week.
Poll doesnt really give you much inbetween choices

To be honest - I wouldn't have ever wanted to come back to Mir if PKing wasn't in the game

Fighting is part of the fun unless
you are fighting people much faster for whatever reason
fighting people who are lucky enough to have really good connections
fighting people who have some kind of advantage numbers, kits, rare skills high luck
Oks fights and BG fights were fun on euro because by that time almost everyone had all skills levelled to max and built a decent kit that might have taken months n months. End stages.

Dont really care about PK i can give or take it.

Frustrates me when im in the mindset to do some real leveling then a grp of 4/5 people come try and jump me because of my guild.

I dont get how people can play this game " for the game", Its absolutly ****ing awful,
  • its graphics are shocking,
  • its Mon AI is shocking,
  • its lack of features/customisation is Shocking.
  • It has absolutly nothing going for it in a adventure/RP Enviroment.
  • Its quest system is basic, at best
  • There is no tactics or skill, or method to PVE, its simply "Lets surround it and bash it till it dies"
  • Theres no world Immersion.
  • There's not even a ****ing story line bro? , No "world lore" nothing....

The only thing it has going for it is a small population and PVP, and guild confrontations.
seriously go play AION or WOW or something, you'd have alot more fun,

this isnt even a troll post,

People who play and hate PVP , this is how i feel about you -

Well, at least they jump because of some reason, like your guild. I am not in any guild and don't have any axe to grind with anybody and get jumped all the same, and its done in low way, by surprise, when I can't fight back because engaged with a mob or simply not suspecting I'd be attacked. I hunt solo and can't socialize because I end up running away or RT as soon as I notice someone is getting near. I remember on other server typing hi and I get dropped without being able to even react in the least way, now I go out of the way but you can't watch for pple all the time

But I never was for no pk server, I can see it brings some excitement to the game, just that pple should fight with those who they know they enjoy pvp or who they have some axe to grind or at bosses when you can expect to pvp but its still low to attack soloers getting a boss especially when they are much lower level or with stock items and struggling as it is and who likely won't be able to put up the least fair fight.

I'd like some visible notice on chars telling you they have AttackAll switched on, like some glow or whatever or at least different color of the dot on the minimap

Maybe an idea would be to increase pk points for random pk makin it less attractive. Then either reduce or keep pk points as they are for guilds at war allowing ppl to be fighting in caves or for a boss.

Generally I play sat in a chair.

But I like to mix it up and play laying on the bed on a laptop if i'm feeling adventurous.

Variety is the spice of life as they say...

A decent server needs to accommodate for all types. Personally, I'd like to see it mixed up. More places safe and some places total body drop. Limits on number of guild wars per day/week. However, as previously posted many have taken pk too far for years and it may be too late. It's nearly impossible to shout for a multi-guild/group leveling or boss run without pk addicts hunting people down. To some, making trouble is seemingly their only fun on Mir. And previously banned players often worse.. Some do anything to mess up the server, guilds, the market. All to cause people to leave or just because they feel they can.

Wow! I really have no clue why this was even asked....

Having played MIR back I the day and been completely addicted to the whole game concept, there have been only a few games since that hold the same appeal. This is what makes MIR what it is.

Leave and play a care bear offering (and there are plenty) if you cant get your head around one of the best gams ever made.

Or on a separate note make every item in game a shop item, just for the whining few that have never been to a boss or never had something they wanted, add another 1000 hp to every person so if they are attacked they have time to TT, RT or type "Please don't attack me I am here levelling up, don't be such a rotten player you very bad nasty PK'er!!"

Why even consider the very ethos of the game is the reason people are not logging on?

Why not send every1 some XTC so they all fking love each other!

I hope this private server doesn't turn into a handful of "influential friends" private server

The game was never all about pvp at the start. The fighting everyone and everything came much later. The pk ers were hugely outnumbered by the people who didnt fight much. The number of no pk guilds was much higher than the fighter guilds.
Not sure how when why it changed. The only people left playing after it visibly stopped being updated having gms and started to go downhill were the ones that fight. Server numbers by this time had dropped from 1500+ to about 120. Everyone else had long gone.

HOMAM guild on dragon, were well hated, I remember if a red player was in the mines or summat all you would see was yellow text saying "PKer PKer @ <coords>" and they would be jumped and shooed away from lvling areas.

I remember the Qing system for bosses, where people would wait hours for there turn at a boss, very polite :)

I like the idea of battling other people bit random PKing is out of order.
Especially when someone is PKing the minority..

PvP is a core thing for Mir (Firstly, bring in a Brown Attack Mode) so you can hunt on that mode, attack people who hit you but don't hit anyone else?

You could put a minimum PK level (people must be 26 before they can PK other people/be pked)

I tend to PK people in guilds I have had bad experiences with (if one PKs me from a certain guild, I will start PKing their members - irrelevant of what the other members are like) solely due to, you were the same title as them, I don't know what you are like other then what perception the first guy gave me.

This poll shows nothing, it just shows what people enjoy most, I picked group based hunts, but I also enjoy PvPing, just because I enjoy 1 more, doesn't mean I don't enjoy the others.
