I'm just wondering what people are hosting there servers(specs) on nowadays and costs involved?

The only thing that bangs the price up is the windows license at 3 months for £90

So its like £170 for the server and license for 3 months

depends on the files and user count i guess

i got a quad core 2.66ghz 8gb ram windows 2003 server for OS which is 120 euros a month, and tbh the cpu dont go above 25% and rams at like 1.5-2.5 majoirty of the time

but this is with the 2.6 files......... with TDs files that ran SQL, with such a huge database we was always at around 5-6 gb ram usage, and around 30-50% CPU

for 2.6 files u only need up to 3-4gb ram defo... CPU i duno rly... a duel core like 3.0ghz would more than likely be ok tbh

they are best provider ive found tbh, the ping to em is gr8, and are really cheap

only downside is if ne thing goes wrong, the website says u gotta pay for a tech guy to fix

but OS dedi hasnt gone down in months.. over the 16months ive been hostin with them i only ever had to pay once for a reformat because we got a virus which was about 70 euros or something



dont tell me ur getin a dedi for darksouls or w/e the hero server? :P
