I've just reinstalled windows and have everything installed correctly. I just cant understand why the DBServer isnt connecting, does anyone have any usefull ideas for this? Pass and IP's etc are all correct.

Definately an IP problem, double check that you have changed every IP to 192.168.1.2 within the files.

DBServer:

addrtable.txt

192.168.1.2
192.168.1.2

Serverinfo .txt

192.168.1.2 192.168.1.2 7200

also change all in dbsrc.txt to 192.168.1.2

change every IP in your files to this IP and check if it works offline first.

check the db settings into the Dbsrc.ini and the ones you have put in the sql enterprise manager.. looks like it can't find the mir db or something strange.. does this happen also if you open only the dbserver.exe?

To both of you everything seems right in those places. So it cant be that. Any other solutions?

Yea i had it on Vista and eventually fixed, it turned out to be that i missed an IP. Killmaster was the person who spotted it for me, and thats why im adamant its an IP prob.

Nope i've just set up Dbserver quick ALL ip's 127.0.0.1 still get that error on vista - I think it's to do with Vista and SQL - though since hes on XP it HAS to be a IP error.
