I am trying to make my own 2.3 server using TD's files with SQL 2000. Everything is working fine apart from the DBServer, I keep getting the same error.

TFrmDBSrv.starttimer
Gate Connected
Gate Disconnected

I have checked all of the IP Addresses aswell as passwords etc.. and everything is correct.

I think it has something to do with the fact I am using Windows 7 as I have tried doing this on another computer using Windows XP and it works without any problems.

I have installed the latest SQL 2000 updates hoping this would help but unfortunately it didn't.

Does anybody have any other ideas or has had the same problem?

Yeh you will need to use SQL 2005 with Vista and Windows 7, Although people have got it working on 2000 with patches i cant remember which ones now though. Think they are availible on the microsoft website.
