Am I missing something? or is something planned to get Tao's using DC in higher lvl spells?

Seems the higher lvl u got through tao stuff, the more the dc stats are catching up to matching the sc.

The lvl 50 ring, FiveElementRing is DC1-5 SC1-7, yet im sure 99% of tao's would rather have an extra 1 sc over the dc

I know some tao's might like hittin mobs when lvling etc, but really, the amount of dc on some of these high lvl items is massive.

Crane Armour now has less sc than the new Imperial armour, yes it has a slight increase ein ac/amc (and the dc) but its less SC.

Thousand swords use sc or dc?
Ive never seen the spell so no clue but that could be the reason?

First concentrate on the 2 class that do not have high level items, yes a sin would like to use the lvl 50+ war items but the weight restrictions will interfere im sure, where are the sun and archer items?
Crit chance and acc on archer items(im told acc increases chance of crit) and acc/agil on sin items.
The 50+ war brace is dc1-6 ac2-3 i think.. Sin should be dc 1-4 acc1 agil1, archer dc 1-4 acc1 crit chance 1.

Again as I say to all of these kind of threads the item stats are the same as official severs.

So you will need to ask them why the added DC to Tao items.

Chronicles uses the stats of official servers as a base and tries to improve on it but DC on Tao items has always been there, it's just the way they did it.

I think its because dc tao's used to be viable but since the introduction of tdb dc tao has become obsolete

DC on Tao gear far as I understand it is just meant for adding some supplementary damage, I would assume the line of thinking to adding DC to Taos in the late game would be giving them a slightly better output than SFB in between poison clouds while going solo.

I mean way back during the easter event with the full set swinging at mobs was definitely doing a bit more damage than SFB was.

Though that's not saying much, we are talking about Tao damage after all :P

With 78 SC (UE) was hitting 130s on a red poisoned target, switched to luck 7 and hit 120 every hit so SFB is very powerful.

Some defensive stats or holy on the rings etc would be nice though. You actually lose a lot of DPS when you melee because it interrupts you casting SFB.

I barely get this sort of damage on a player with sc71 gutted really

On a red poisoned target you should be seeing 120s :) mainly on assassins or archers with very low MAC. On monsters it's totally different. I had luck 5 with my heavensword so I saw big numbers everywhere.

I thought DC on a tao was to do with pets ? .. DC improved hp / SC improved strength, or vica versa

Maybe with skeletons but I saw no noticeable improvement for my pets when I put on my heavensword. (An increase in 15+ DC).

If it doesn't that's a very interesting concept, scaling pet damage with DC.

If implemented right something like this would give Tao class a neat sort of alternate way to go about solo lvling without doing much to harm pvp balance.
