i know this is HIGHLY unlikely. and probably a very stupid question. but is it at all possible to take apart an exe (just an exe with no other files linked to it), and edit it in vb6?

for example (as its not easy to explain what i wanna take apart)

leos server starter? cld u rip that and edit the menu structure?

You could add things to other applications if you want to mess with hooks and other API functions. However as far as decompiling goes... some of the solutions are very costly and rarely work as expected.

Also consider resource viewing if your just looking at GUI elements.

On a final note, rip my proggys and you die a slow painful pixel death. :P

It depends what your idea of a 'menu' is, and what you consider the 'look' of a menu to be.

As a programmer I see a menu as being File/Edit/Help etc, with the look being a graphical image or positioning. You cannot change the look of the aforementioned menus using any nice hexing/res'ing. Your much better off rewriting the program from scratch and creating your own graphical elements (it would take a lot longer to add them in using another method).

Alternatively consider skinning applictions such as WindowBlinds and ThemeXP.
