Prices have not changed, you were going off one website that in no way represented the average price. You also never showed any proof of this website or that it even displayed the prices it did.

Your findings? Well by all means reports your findings, because that is a false statement, Intel is by no means is more cooler and stable than AMD, that's a lie.

Web Site has Changed it prices since I last check - how the hell am I supposted to show you the price I saw??? I got the prices when I was looking at a system to build, at that time the prices were all about the same - now they are not - how simple is this to Understand???

I alsready said that quite simple a athlon 2100XP i have here runs a Lot hotter using the same cooler as per the same P4 Machine....go search google about all the threads on AMD running very hot - it wont take you long

I know prices very well because that's just the geek I am, and I will state now that prices concerning AMD and Intel CPU's have never changed that dramatically.

All the sudden Intel costs a lot more than AMD? No, Intel has always cost a lot more than AMD.

Also, I don't need to search the internet, I just need to look around me in my room where I sit now and at work.

If your AXP is having problems, then it's probably a HS mounting/thermal paste problem.

Is that your excuse when your wrong?

Tell me this, why is my AXP(s) not burning up like yours?

What heatsink do you have on your AXP and what P4 model do you have and what heatsink do you have on that.

Systems to compare Against:

Pentium III 933 x 2 CPU - Heatsink Very Small and 1" High Fan - cpus run at 32 C Idle and 37 Full Load..

Duron 1 Gig - Large Heatsink + Fan (in Compaison to Intel One) - Runs at 40C Idle and 45C Under load..

Now before you said my thermal Paste was put on wrong, I used a Applicator that puts the right amount of Paste on the chip, each applied by me, using same paste. Both Cases about same Size, in fact I would say Intel one is Slightly smaller by comparrison.

Athlon XP 2100 runs at 45-50 with Stock Cooler. Athlon 2600XP (throughbread) runs at 50 easy using a Monster of a Heatsink with 9 Silent Fans fitted... I have searched the Net and this is normal from my findings. Only way to Cool these Old chips properly is to go Liquid Cooling...

I didn't ask you to describe the heatsink, I asked you for the brand/model.

So how much does it put? And what thermal pste are you using?

That sounds about right with the stock cooler, in fact that's the same temps about with the stock cooling on one of my P4's :)

However, the 2600 is way off. I have that same CPU and it doesn't go above 50 with STOCK cooling. Pics and proof can be provided upon request.

Also, when I was overclocking one of my AXP's, I upped the voltage to 1.9v, had it at 220x11.5 (2530mhz) and with a descent heatsink (thermaltake volcano 12, definitely not the best) it never ran over 49 on load.

As for only proper way to cool is liquid cooling, is that a joke? I know plenty of people irl, I own/work with multiple A/D/AXP machines, and know many people on this very forum who use AMD with air cooling whose mahcines are perfectly stable, are we all flukes?

As me & urban had a little disagreement on the AMD Thread- he has reported me to Leo who in turn asked for my view on the story. I wont go into the conversation but basically I will leave LOMCN full time, this also means any files hosted by me will be deleted and my support will cease from this point forth.

So I wish you all well with your MIR3 Side of life and have fun
