Im sick of all you little fags going on about how i suck, and how being an fantastic designer consists of opening a photoshop document and using as many filters as possible.

Graphic Design in general
You all seem to think that being a designer is making l337 siggys and avatars...which its not. People who brand themselves graphic designers or w/e on these forums are talking out of their arses.
First of Design spans near enough the entire multimedia genre...

Print Work
The ability to work with a limited color palette known as CMYK, nothing like the RGB setup most of you use...
CMYK is for print, you may select a light red in RGB and when printed ( professionally ) could turn out to be completely different when printed...so when creating work for print your constantly trying to work with colors that will appear as they did on screen.
Web Design
Web design isnt all about putting up a l337 banner and sticking your name on it...its all about content orientation and pushing forward a companies information and products in an efficient and attractive manner.
You have to design for the masses, always working with everyone in mind, same goes for print.
I cba covering anymore areas in multimedia design, but by now i would have expected you to have absorbed my point.
Fact is, design influences our product buys, what car we drive, clothes we wear...pretty much everything material..
Skill
This i have been dying to say...
Firstly i see a few of you critising me on my work, how i use gradients and so forth...
The ability to produce a good image is based on skill...i can create good art with minimal work and filters etc as most of you use...
I do vector art, which is a hell of alot harder than your beloved photoshop...first off its done using the pen tool, well most of it, and takes a bit more skill than running a few filters over an image..anyway back to the point.
Before critising my work, try recreating it, i highly doubt you will be able to reproduce anything ive done, and pull the style off aswell.
Design isnt all about what you use, its how its conveyed, proportion and placement.
Creating effective and attractive art
You all seem to think that a bunch of sh!t fonts and a render makes you fantastic...it doesnt.
I can spot someone a mile off using filters, some are too easy to pick up.
When creating stuff, dont pack it to the throat with filters, outerglows and beveled fonts...try creating something that stands out.
Minimalistic artwork may seem easy to create, but its the exact oposite, it has to be placed correctly, and attractive with little use of anything.
When using fonts, dont just jump on the bandwagon and start using the latest retarded font, your default windows font set is more effective and looks a hell of alot better.
When downloading fonts, pick a decent san serif font, a squarish font for those of you less familiar with typography.
These work alot better with images, and add to the overall appearance.
Im sick of seeing alot of you using pixel fonts at size 10/12/14, pixel fonts are called pixel fonts, because they stay small and are still readable.
When using a pixel font, before downloading, most sites have a preview at the correct size for use, most are 8pt, keep them at this, and remove the anti-aliasing, do this from the font menu when it appears, change it from sharp/strong to none, boom, you got a decent pixel font.
Critisism and commenting
Im a spack when it comes to commenting, im hard on your work, and tell you its the sh!tiest thing ive every seen.
chance are, im not far wrong...but take it with you, go back to photoshop and come back double hard, then maybe ill give you a little pat on the back.
im sick of people jumping on me on threads for demotivating and hurting people by telling them they suck, its exactly what they need, i got it when i was starting out, and it worked.
before you start telling me i suck, and that you and your 14 pt pixel font buddies start "owning me" with their l337ness, ask why i think it sucks, i aint gonna come out with it first time round, if your not willing to try, i cba.
People who cant produce artwork that isnt porn, jamis for example, or matrix, both who say i suck as soon as i comment, need slapped. They think they are the next big thing, when they are just going down the pan. If you cant handle the crit, just stop designing.
Matrix however, finally realised my strategy and took onboard what exactly was going on.
If you LISTEN you will earn my respect, and ill have no problems trying to help you out, but if you repost the same image with more filters, i will flame you, no doubt about that.
Conclusion
Dont give me all that, i know what i do, i earn money from it, and i couldnt care what a bunch of fr00blets on a forum say, ive been told by people that i have massive potential in the design industry, and tbh i cant wait.
ill help, but only if your willing to learn and take the abuse that comes with it.
now this provides effective evidence that the forum "hardmen" are nothing but sh!ttalking litle fags.
