Might be an idea to have an option in the client to change the colour of tempest cast by people not in your guild.

How is that "carebear"? It's just visual clarity for pvp

What you are asking for is silly.
Visual clarity is one thing, distinct visual identifiers of where not to stand in PvP is another entirely.

Out of curiosity, did someone already do this? Seems like a pretty random idea after so many years.

Its a common feature in pretty much every modern game to have your / your teams spells flag in one colour and the enemies in another so instantly you can see which is which.

We already have a feature to allow you to toggle spell effects on / off. Could this be extended to toggle allied/guild member spell effects off only? Colour change might be a little too difficult.

That because flags / towers etc are an objective of course they are going to be a different colour.

Can you give some examples? Not questoning you, i am actually interested to see.
It seems like a pretty silly thing to add to anything competative, removes a whole chunk of 'skill' in terms of memory/communication etc.

Paragon, Smite, League of Legends, Overwatch, anything where fast paced team vs team combat is common changes in spell colours depending on which team you're on is common place. Just makes it really easy and simple to quickly identify if the spell on the ground is friendly or foe.

Not suggesting it would work as well here may alter the dynamic of PvP too much.

Your comparing e-sports games to Mir3 thats the problem we're having here. Changing tempest colours for enemy would just make everything easy mode in big fights it's a silly idea can't believe people are voting yes.

Its a silly idea... in your opinion. Which is great as that's for you to decide. Other people clearly have a difference of opinion.

Not saying either are right or wrong, I don't PvP so couldn't really care what they do with tempest, but it does work very well in other fast paced PvP orientated games. You would have Wizards tactically positioning their spells to nullify the enemies instead of it just being a spam, hit and hope scenario.

Other than a bit in Overwatch, an FPS shooter, and 2-3 spells in 13 mins of LoL gameplay I'm not really seeing much. There are multicolored spells all over the place. Including countless times i see red players shooting blue spells and vice versa.

I will note that you shouldn't be comparing 'common practice' across types. FPS, RTS, MOBA, MMO etc. are all very different in terms of what works and what doesn't.

In any case, ideas are never a bad thing. But in this case, I'll stick to my initial thought.

Thanks was going to say this word for word yesterday but didn't want Dark to get more emotional on the situation lol.

I’m not the one who “can’t believe” people are voting yes.... not that that’s an over the top emotional reaction or anything.

did someone just say to use tempest requires skill xD and its hells the guy whos so called skill is to spam tempest every free square on the screen lmao tbh.

you will find in most games where you have teams with the same skills or spell have a way of differentiating from each other by differenct colors, usually red for hostile green for friendly. albion online is not too different to mir in terms of game style open world rpg pvp and they also use different color for hostile/friendly skills. on there it would be mayhem when theres mass guild wars on if you couldnt tell between friendly and hostile spells

for this reason i think would be an improvement to current mir gameplay especially for said ppl like hells who think putting it down everywhere is somehow skilled
