its retarded i think, whats next banning people with an overclocked pc? having somthing that makes your machine faster by closing pointless programs is cheating? i remember a time when you told me afew tricks to get mir running faster sam, why suddenly against it?

Oh and I doubt Internet would make much of a difference mir is a ****ing old game it was made for pissing dial up modems! I have a 50mb line and witnessed people on an 6/8 meg line be faster than myself. Now who's chatting nonsense?
So basically that would mean telling everyone to download it just so they can play to the same standard as others? Bullshit . What if these people in question so not want to download and install this program in question, they just gunna suffer? Or here's an idea, how's about no one uses it and everyone is on equal wavelengths? That will be all.

Lower the processes being used, that was always my motto... Never led me astray.
Start -> Run -> Services.msc -> Turn off **** you don't need
OR
GameProfiler -> Run -> Services get turned off / reduced -> PlayMir after closing program = Win

Problem is with this, not saying it's a bad idea but Sam has previously stated in the past that stuff like that along with tweaking are more likely to make you worse off in game, anyhow... Anyone with a decent gaming PC should not have to do any of this what's so ever, so if you find yourself having to close processes may I kindly suggest buying a new PC?

Curious...I have a high end gaming PC, with 3 fairly sized Samsung 500/500 SSDs along with other gaming gadgets (Logitech Keyboards etc)
This so called automatic system won't continually pick me out cause I can flawlessly run the most graphically demanding games, let alone Mir :/

I close processes down not because my pc is too slow, but i don't feel the need for things like EventLog or Spoiler. I do use applications like Zbrush and Mudbox so the less my pc is doing in the background the more applications i can open up. I'm not super rich and i have DDD, alongside a 6month old baby boy i am kind of struggling to get by. So tweaking my PC (not that its needed) just helps **** render quicker or speed up the time taken to import assets to Unity.
You know, simple things and its shocking how much difference it does make.
I can't see how the tweaks i've mentioned would hinder gameplay, it would speed it up. It's like saying running 3 apps whilst playing mir won't slow you down and closing them would just make it worse...it wouldn't lol.
All i was trying to say really is that if you want the effects of gamebooster, just do it manually. It's only looking for process names, so you won't get flagged for cheating or tweaking if it doesn't exist.
The only way you could check for people tweaking their PC's without looking for some sort of third party program would be to check if certain processes have been closed to improve performance (like using Tiny7 or stopping services).
Let's say they check for EventLog (one of the first things i stop), if that's absent then they'd check the next process...lets say PrinterSpoiler, if thats turned off then they can look for another process and so on. If a consecutive amount of processes have been switched off to improve performance then an automated flag would be put in place.
TBH though , that sort of tweaking should not be a bannable offence. If people want to improve their pc by altering the processes used, the theme they use etc...then let them lol, It's not like they're using proper cheats made for the game.

There are many programs that this made me have to change or turn off. All the iobit stuff I use ie. malware fighter, advanced system care and I'm guessing driver booster will have to be turned off as well.

The thing missing from the Disclaimer Statement was the bit that says The Server Team Decisions are final. You have been judged or something like that. All this twisting and rationalising about whats OK and what isn't and "I only changed the ..." that's not cheating! Doesn't matter at all. If you get banned, de levelled, have your items changed then its karma. Maybe not for what you do this mir but for all the other mirs.
That though often means the resulting tantrums cause problems when the toddler concerned "gets his own back". Sad but seen it often.
Its the same old(they aren't 16 anymore) players every time. Its the same old pattern. The "hard core" get set up with geekery tweakery and strut about and few others have the time energy dedication for there to be effective opposing group/s to slap them about a bit.

Im not using any gamebooster nor acpi, but im pretty fast on mir..my pc is on mircoxp, o/c on a vm with few reg tweaks...was wondering if u accept it or not..

This is certainly a hard topic to talk about. Either way if you dont like the rules simple.. Dont play if you think this GameBooster dosnt effect or give Mir a advantage try your luck if you get banned tuff ****.
Ive Used Razer GameBooster on many games but ive never pressed my luck if certain games dont agree with them..
There should be a Macro system (Skill) should be incorperated into Mir

Vsync isnt speed cheating just caps your fps to your monitor hertz, more framerates doesnt make the game run any faster. Not that it matters because these files are capped at 60fps

Have you heard of external storage for sensitive information stored on electronic devices, which you allow to connect to secure monitoring servers.
Wake up man if you have that kind of information and you are playing these sort of games then you need a check up from the neck up if you haven't taken precautions in securing your data.

I am sure this is not going to happen here but just say for instance some one is banned for exploiting issues in game and then they become pals with dev team will they be able to come back to game and get all their stuff back from banned chars.
