[King] .DLL editing

how do i edit the .dll file?
i been told to use the KAORICRYPT thing but the top bit says "File is to big" or something like that
if i use STDITEM,Monster or Magic it downloads a file with loads of numbers and i dont know how to edit...

Any suggestions please?

Did you use a program like Resource tuner to translate bottons? and the rest isn't showing? You have to hex edit those, should be easy because of it has www.17ng.com on each translation so open that program up in a hex editor like ultraedit and search for that site.

Wait... I thought that you were talking about King. Isn't that Holley!? If you want to edit holley, check the Holley.lng1 and lng2 files. If it doesn't work, try what Sanity suggested.

yeah i haven't a working king client on my pc atm so i just logged onto a 3.55 but i want to edit the King version of this box ^^
and ty ill have a look

ok i opened it in HEX editor and their is just even more numbers and chinese things, how do i find what i want to edit?

Well, the procedure in Kings and 3.55 is different, so in Kings:

Well, then when you talk about the kings version of this box do you talk about the dbt / cheat box (the one which allows you to see others' HP, see drop items' names in floor in different colors, etc, etc.

If you want this window translated, you must edit the dll with PExplorer (I don't remember if the dll was packed. If so, unpack it) and edit the client accordingly. IE: if you translate "XXXX", meaning "show item names in the floor", you have to find that text in the DLL, change it to english and find that same text in the Client and change it to the same text in English.

PS: I'm certainly sure that the dll for 3.55 is packed. You need to unpack it first!

Or, if you try to open it with PExplorer, it will say something like "error: i can't read this. Maybe it's packed!"

If I remember right, the unpacker was called Stripper.

Sorry, but I did this when it came out (a year ago?) and can't remember all details :/

i dont know what that box on the kings client is , was just trying to find out if i can edit it to remove things off it
and change the name on the top of it etc...
:/ seems i might not bother if its proving this difficult lol

as pkryan suggested download peid and drag a dll file into it's window, it'lll show you what packer was used to pack that dll. depending on the packer, you'll have to find a right unpacker. after you find it, use it and u'll be able to open the dll in peexplorer
