Might be in wrong section but i thought DM2 section was for the team only so please correct me if im wrong.

Right I can get on but i get some errors with my DBServer and a gate.

When i load my DB it says....Server Started then at the top just under the tab buttons its says Not Ready!! dont really think thats a problem tho but if it is...

Then when im loading LoginSrv SQL edition it says server initializing then [Exception] SQL Connecvtion failed => check details! then server started.

On the M2 i get starttimer exception violation see (Numbers) for details on 0000000.

EDIT* can create a char now but notice does'nt show...

Any idea people and no flames as it is my first time on DM2.

Check in your !setup file. It has something at the top that you may need to change so it doesnt read from SQL.

I think the latest loginsrv u have to use SQL and msSQL not mySQL as we had a hell of a time converting it. But the server is SQL should be used really.

ok im confused now,
i did an update of svn and noticed a new set of files, those which you are on about here. LoginSrvSQL is its folder name
well to cut a long story short my files from svn i can either run under mysql or normally, as i have set em up so i could see if a lag problem i was having was due to me running files and client from same pc ( wasnt cos both sets lag)
then all of a sudden a LoginSrvSQL appears so now im at a loss do i try to set my dbs up using SQL(8) 2000 or do i just run the files with access and then try to set up the LoginSrvSQL to run under SQL or do i have to set up the dbs to run under SQL(8) and also set up the LoginSrvSQL to run under SQL(8) aswell as i have tried all sorts of configurations but still cant get the LoginSrvSQL to work properly,

A little bit of help with the way these files are seup using the LoginSrvSQL would be of great use.

you will only benefit from using sql if you havnt alot of users online. otherwise keep to access.

its laggy because of the content in it now, and requires more ram. only thing u can do is run your client on another pc.

so like i said, if u only plan on testing, and not hosting propperly, dont touch any sql files tbh, use the old gates.
