Does accuracy affect archers critical chance?

Tested damage over time and noticing 0 difference. There is accuracy on quest items and mir bow though?

Loaded tony up with +7 accuracy from my kit, he had 1 more top end DC and 2 less base. Noticed 0 difference.

yeah i think he said he had like 35 acc with your kit on...

archers start with base of 8 acc and then level 3 crit spell gives a lot not sure how much it gives but tony also said he didnt notice a difference..

i was also wondering why archers had the pointless (acc) stat on items

maybe for the set/quest items archers could have HP instead of Acc as it really seems unneeded

Acc helps when you melee a mob.

Bloodstealer has ACC+5 for wiz too mmmmm

Its supposed to increase chance of crit hit.
I did not test thoroughly but it felt like i hit above my normal max more often without using deathly aim and having acc equiped.

With deathly aim active it felt normal. Perhaps deathly aim takes an archer to max acc and anything past 25+ doest do anything. Like an invisible top acc, similar to 5 sliw being max but you can still get 6/7/8 etc etc.
My thought is that its only relevant between desthly aim casts.

Critical hits are like "head shots" :D... The better accuracy you have, the more likely your going to hit someone in the face :).

deathly aim does give accuracy so I guess it is worth it, crit wise. I tested slow kit in the past on archer and it didnt seem to work with arrows.

Thinking about it now it probably effects iceshot? But it surely doesnt slow on non-ice shots.

Always thought this, but archers lose out here I think, as they would never melee so PA is gone and it's too expensive to Slow up a kit for 1 spell, Archers have no way of upgrading kit, except DC and the odd health rune really :s

As I've tested AC/AMC to DC and the defense gains are minimal for huge damage losses.

PA doesn't effect poisn cloud, maybe a bug maybe not but it was testing inguild with no effect

Aye, I think deathly Aim takes you to the ACC/Crit Ratio Cap.
so ACC is only worthwhile between Deathly Aim casts.
from my experience.

For the 20 seconds its down i wouldn't want to spend a **** load of cash to ACC / break my current items.. definitely not worth it .

agree with that. if you kill a war that has + acc items though, not a bad addition =)

i know sam try's to make everyone believe acc/crit hit is great:
i checked the code myself ages ago and mentioned it to him:
the amount of 'bonus' dmg you can get (assuming you have like crit dmg +7/+8 if i remember correctly) is soooooooo low, that you'd basicaly never notice the crits :p

basic archer facts:
- unless you have maxed out crit dmg, you wont even see a difference between a normal hit and a crit hit.
- the amount of acc you need to really crit 'often' isnt worth wasting points on
- getting 1/2 extra dc is always gonna be better then getting acc or crit hit dmg

overall sam really screwed up the archer calculations (but he refuses to admit it :p)

Ive always wondered if archers could possibly be quite op if they stacked acc, but from what i read here nobody notices its effect?

Gm have you tested this with Luck 7 to prove that the damage out put goes up?
