I'm just interested, I've been fishing for 4 years now and wondered if anyone from the large ammount of people on LOMCN did aswell.. Doesn't matter what type of fishing you do, whether it be coarse fishing, carp fishing, fly fishing, sea fishing etc.

And please don't spam the thread if you don't do fishing, It can get annoying if you lot spam like Jam on Toast.

Depends what fishing you're doing.. I was fishing for Mirror Carp yesterday and caight a 42lb Common Carp.. I layed down next to it, and it was half the size of my body.. in length!

Catch a 15lb Pike, and it'll be as long as a males leg. And other fish are even bigger.

Then you get small fish like Roach, Tench and Perch (In Coarse fishing!) which can be fun.

Fishing isn't just about sitting there, and waiting for the fish to come to you. It's about knowing what bait or lure certain fish go after, it's about having the patients to wait for them. It can actually involve alot of skill, to catch a big fish!

If you lot haven't tried proper fishing, you can't exactly judge it.

ive bin fishin for about 13-14 years, never tried carp fishin and cant say i will try it cause it jus doesnt look that interesting. im more intrested in fly fishin and rock fishin, reason i like fly fishin is because it requires the most amount of skill because any sort of wally can pick up a rod and start fishin

Aye true, but "any wally" can also make a mess of it. When people first start fishing, they don't understand when to strike, what bait to use, how to discourge a fish etc. Carp fishing is fairly expensive, although I would say Fly fishing is much more costly.

FLy fishing is pretty costly, As for someone saying it takes the most amount of skill etc, your not wrong, but not right. From my experiance, Fly Fishin is harder to do, but you always get better results.

Bait fishing ive had tons of small fish, and i think a few decent sized ones

Fly fishing, if u catch, its 95% likely its something worth catching.
