Domination 2.6 Website

[hustler]

This is a website that i've made for my 2.6 server.

Can people just give me some feedback on the general layout, logo etc...

the two pictures begin to repeat at high screen resolution.
and the search box is positioned weirdly across the header line

other than that it not bad, just needs abit more life to it.

maybe add some thumbnails for gallery images too.

to be brutally honest mate, its boring. the main thing you want your website to do is attract peoples attention, make them want to click your links, add more color, game info about Your server not just mir in general. make a new header that stands out for a start. my opinion mate, good luck.


have a look at some of the top servers websites for ideas.

Pretty stock if you as me, needs more colour!. Also make "Legend of Mir 2 - Rise Of The Assassin" stand out more, boring white =/ you want to get peoples attention liven it up!

Needs more detail, add some mini screenshots that you can click which enlarge. Should use some of the boarders from the interface to spruse it up abit. Oh yeh and your header/banner needs alot more work as its not really working to well as it stands, The banner is the first thing you look at so you need to make first impressions good!

Yeah yeah, thanks for the feedback guys. Need to liven it up a little and working on it.

Here's the changes i've done so far:
*Removed search box (wasn't corresponding with the banner)
*Removed the title text and replaced with our custom banner
*Fixed the repeating background image
*Made the gallery images so it's in tumbnails, have to click to enlarge
*Changed background image so it goes with the website

Next objective:
*Work on the content on homepage to liven it up a little more!

Thank you. Did a few more adjustments. Added our own intergated forum, take a look, give me some feedback. It's kinda all custom php work, took a while to get it working as a unique forum. It's in beta dont expect much tho. http://www.dmir2.co.uk/forum

You are aware the creators of that site do log onto lomcn? And unless you got permission i think they will be bit ticked off?

If by reminds you of mir then i agree, if they look similar well yes, they both have mir images in, that's as far as i can go with it. Overall looks nice though.

never been on elysian but now you mention it, they are very alike, same images / background.

It has the same images as mir2 usa lol apart from the fact the background of the images are black. They are not owned pictures as it's from mir itself. Look at mir 2 usa, you willl know what i mean. The images are from mir2 usa but apart from the background yes im using elysians, but doesnt a lot of people use images from websites? It's a mir website it's what you will see.

i dont care , but i think it makes more sense if yours is unique and stands out.

I don't see much point in websites for most private mir servers, just use a forum :P thats all the users use anyways and not very often at that. Maybe worth while i spose if its gonna last a year or more but in all honesty how many servers last that long these days... But all that a side, the sites looking quite good now.
