Door Blocking

This is a dirty tactic which most of us are guilty of, but I don't think it should be allowed.

Here's a few idea's to deter people from piling round a door when fighting another guild:

No fight zones up to 5 spaces away from each door way on every map. These would obviously be different to safe zones so you can't use it to exploit boss kills.

Or, less compact and still giving the option to block a door,

No war zone up to 5 spaces away from each door, so if you really want to use this tactic you're likely to pay a hefty price for it.

Shouldn't be too hard to implement, and would open up fights, I for one am sick of people doing it, my own guild included.

We had a thread going a while back - No word from server team on it though, I don't think they see it as a big issue because they aren't seeing it first hand

It's a rubbish "tactic" .. But it's effective so people will keep doing it (us included) .. I hope they do something but not holding my breath

I really don't understand forsaken... they use door blocks literally everywhere they go and they're making posts about how to stop door blocking.

They got door blocked in EE KR, by 4 sins and dropped a BoS. Probable cause for this thread.

Stupid idea's. Tao's could just go afk in the safe zone (not get pk'd and level off the respawns).

Setting up a door block: Yes please

You wall up on the outside of a door, promotes fighting and allows you to send a small killgroup ahead.

Door blocking: No thankyou

Hiding on the inside of a door and manipulating spell mechanics (piercing shot/lightning etc.) so that no one can pass, it's instant death.

We are all guilty of it.. Been in them in 4 different guilds. Can't see it being stamped out because It gets to the point where you just do what is needed to kill the boss.

Let me help you understand. There are 150 people in forsaken, and we don't all think the same things. Personally I don't like door blocking, but i am too weak willed to resist employing the tactic when needed. If it were not possible I do believe guild fights would be better.

Let me help you understand. There are 150 people in forsaken, and we don't all think the same things. Personally I don't like door blocking, but i am too weak willed to resist employing the tactic when needed. If it were not possible I do believe guild fights would be better.

I watched forsaken door block for 6 of us yesterday, there was easily 15+ forsaken.

I don't need help understanding what a **** guild forsaken.

This is an independent SUGGESTION in the SUGGESTION section of the forum, It has nothing to do with guilds.. I personally don't like doing it, but if it's available and necessary then it will be done.

How about instead of crying and flaming, you add some constructive input. Unless you're so against the idea because you actually NEED to use this tactic?

Just dont do it?... i totally agree citrix... but the fact is. The team will not take a moment out of all the other crap that the server has wrong with it. To individually input your ideas into every map.. just wont happen.

Everyone needs to grow a pair.. and just fight.

right so u know people like to block doors yes ?? why are u not checking the doors first its rather simple, have a tao run another client with a lower level let the tao run in first with the alt. ur gonna give some 1 pk points/curse and u know who and how many are behind the door.......

door blocking is legit tactic. its like camping in cod its not my fault ur stupid enough not to learn ur lesson the fist time i kill u but when u just keep running back ur gonna loose 9/10 fights if u dont change what ur doing.

the only way to stop it is to recode how doors work so rather than landing on the same spot when going in a door is to have it randomly place u within 10-20 spaces of the door. that requires work from the server team tho and we know thats not gonna happen any time soon

and thats coming from some one whos getting beat by doors being blocked good one

try it next hunt get one of ur taos to run a lvl 22 thats not in guild so its not part of any would be guild war. enter the doors first with it, if it dies u know who and how many are there. take advantage of the information.... u know they have a lvl 45 sin blocking and u have a 50 warrior all u need to do is let the warrior know which direction to SD and 90% of the time the rest will try follow the SD allowing u to push the door with less risk while there distracted. use ur head for a change. hell dont even take a noob have some one take off all kit and run in naked

You really dont get how deep some of these door blocks are?.... 3 man deep doorblock.. no dash.. no repulse.. now tell me how to get through it without storming it

like i said in first post recode the doors to tele u in a random spot close to door if its that bad. u could probably do it with a script as well tbh
