Is it possible to run two at the same time and have the option to transfer between the two.

I've seen this done on some Mir2 servers, but was woderin if it can be done for mir3.

Any help with this, is greatly apreciated.

As far as I'm aware the current emulators can't do it, to which the offcial servers don't use emaultaors.

But if there is a way around it, or if anyone is intrested in helping write a set of new emulators. Then that would be even better.

I asked before and Kaori said you can do it with the the old files that use Mir3.cin

Wouldn't really be worth the hassel as you can just edit the launcher.

What I'm wanting to do, you can't just edit the launcher with.

Its two servers running side by side, with the option ingame to transfer between the two and not just log out and back in again.

Try duplicating the Rungate and editing the port numbers in serveraddress (setup folder) and changing port from 7200 to 7201 in the duplicated rungate.

It does work, I've never had the full time try it all out though mate.

you will probably need a second machine to do that.

unless you can change ALL of the default ports (some in packed exe)

don't know what you mean by transfer.

Cheers Andy.

I currently have two servers running, both are evenly matched in stats. The difference between the two are the mobs and hunting areas.

The second server is copy of the orginal but up side down. What I'm wanting to do, is have it so that players can go from one server to the other from a script in a npc ingame. But I want to make sure that I'm able to run bot servers through the same gates, to make his possible.

that sounded more like a master and slave server...
meaning...

master serves
map 0 1 2 3
slave serves
D001 D002

so you have 2 machines to run them? config that is a bit crazy... but it is doable...

you can run it on 1 machine if you really can change the server port (5010 or 5000)... both will share a lot of the folders still.. so be careful if you are running it off an unstable network..

mostly the mapinfo part where you tell which ones will goto master server 0 and which ones will goto slave server 1. then the monster files and drop files can be different... can't think of anything else to add...
