im not sure if mir3 runs very well on vista or win7, But i couldnt confirm that as im not entirley sure, However you could just downgrade to windows xp if you wished.

Mir3 servers dont work in w7 or vista you need install windows xp.

Server in w7 works? more ppl say dont work but..

Clients works i try in w7 and work good with permisions and campatibility with Windows xp sp3

Use virtualization for server apps.
Microsoft have one software to create a virtual machines in Windows Vista and W7 to run Windows XP or else, i dont see the problem.

You configure VMs to go fast or slow. VMs are especially useful if you want to make sure they are not interfering with other programs.

I ran 2 servers on 4 VMs for a pretty long time.

All these on 1 machine: Core 2 Quad Q9550 8G Ram
VM1: SQL
VM2: Login Server + Login Gate
VM3: DB + Game (Kaori)
VM4: DB + Game (Keiko)
VM5: 4 Gates
